Rehearse with a scene partner that listens. ColdRead reads the other characters, hears your line and cues the next one — so you get off-book faster.
ColdRead is a line rehearsal app for actors. Import a screenplay PDF or record your lines, choose the character you play, and rehearse the scene with a Reader that never gets tired.
HOW IT WORKS
The Reader performs the other characters in a recorded or system voice.
ColdRead listens while you speak and recognizes when your line is done.
The next line plays automatically — no tapping, no scrolling.
MEMORIZE LINES FASTER
Hide My Lines: recall each line from memory, reveal only when stuck.
Correct Me: a wrong line is flagged and repeated until it's right.
Listen mode: play the whole scene hands-free, even with the screen locked.
BUILT FOR ACTORS
Import scripts from PDF — dialogue and character names are extracted automatically.
Record lines one by one with live transcription.
A different voice for each character; use your own recordings or system voices. Share scripts with recordings to a scene partner.
Everything stays on your iPhone. No account, no upload.
Perfect for auditions, self-tapes, theatre rehearsals, cold reads, monologues and drama school.
FREE VS. COLDREAD PRO
Free: the demo scene plus one script of your own (up to 8 lines) with hands-free rehearsal.
ColdRead Pro unlocks unlimited scripts and lines, PDF import, Listen mode, Correct Me, character voices and script sharing.
