Try everything free for a week — the free trial is now easy to find, with a clear day-by-day of what happens and a reminder in the app before anything is charged. Your first chat with the reading companion is free from day one. Recommendations got smarter: finish a series and it won't hand you book two back. Real covers now show in your Journal and when you log pages.

Add a book from a recommendation and it now brings its cover with it — no more blank spines on your shelf. If the cover hasn't loaded yet, Paperheart goes and gets it.

Three things that were bugging me, and one new one. • Ask the companion what to read next. It comes back with three books — the rest of the series first, then two that feel like the one you just finished — with their real covers. Tap to add any of them to your shelf. • Covers now sit properly. Every book keeps its own shape instead of floating on a blurred copy of itself. • Save picture actually saves. It quietly never worked before, and now the card goes straight to your photos. • Fixed the pinch-zoom that let you drag the whole app sideways.

Someone to talk to about what you're reading. • Finished a book? Tap it on your shelf and it opens properly — the cover, your rating, the best line you wrote while reading it, and a card made to share. • Talk the book through with the new reading companion and it writes your review for you, in your words. It knows the page you're on and won't spoil a thing past it. • What to read next: the rest of the series first, then books like it. • Pick your book from the list as you type and the real cover comes with it. No more hunting through a grid. • Real book covers are now free for everyone. • Finishing a book finally feels like finishing something.

Small fixes to make everything feel smoother. - Tapping a text field no longer zooms the screen, so the app can't get stuck panned sideways - No more grey flash when you tap a button, and no accidental text selecting while you scroll - Scrolling inside a sheet no longer drags the page behind it - The dictionary no longer autocorrects what you type, so "did you mean...?" can actually do its job
