Your friends are doing things. You should probably go too. Share the little things throughout your week, catch up Friday, and make plans that actually happen. You do not need to be “social.” You just need people you like. Recess is a place to keep up with the people you actually care about and make plans to see them. Share the little things throughout your week. Photos, videos, random thoughts, whatever has been going on. No pressure to post every day. On Friday, everyone’s Life Updates open so you can catch up in one place. Then go do something. FRIDAY IS FOR CATCHING UP See what your friends have been up to without keeping up with an endless feed all week. TURN “SOON” INTO AN ACTUAL PLAN Coffee. A walk. Game night. Coworking. Dinner. Sitting on someone’s couch. Create a Recess, invite your people, and make it happen. SHARE THE LITTLE THINGS Build your Life Update throughout the week with photos, videos, and text. Share as much or as little as you want and it will publish on Friday. KEEP YOUR PEOPLE CLOSE Make private contact groups for your best friends, family, coworkers, hometown friends, or whoever else makes up your life. Only you can see your groups. PROOF YOU ACTUALLY DID STUFF Look back on the Life Updates and Recesses that made up your year. No pressure to perform. No need to be online all day. Just your friends, their lives, and more reasons to see each other. Go see your friends. -- RECESS+ (OPTIONAL SUBSCRIPTION) Recess is free to use. Recess+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks your full archive, postcard styles for your weekly update, unlimited contact groups, and a supporter badge on your profile. Annual and 3 month plans are available in the app. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Recess Terms of Service: https://recesstoday.com/terms Privacy Policy: https://recesstoday.com/privacy

Friends/ Work Balance

This app is so nice to have to keep up with my friends I have not seen in a while. I uninstalled my socials because I was doom scrolling too much but this is a nice way to keep up with things friends are doing without feeling the drag after a doom scroll session. I have gotten to keep up with those small contacts I generally lose and can set a small meeting when we want to keep updated. Thank you Recess!

• Show me in search: a new switch in Settings, under Privacy. Turn it off and only your friends can find you in search. • Photo carousels: add up to 10 photos to a single moment. • Shared Recess albums: everyone going to a Recess can add photos to one album, then pull their favorites into their own week. • Reply privately: start a one-on-one conversation with a friend about any moment in their Life Update. • Tag friends in moments, captions and comments. When someone tags you, add that moment to your own week in one tap. • Reply to comments, @mention friends, and hold any comment to react with an emoji. • Hold a reaction on a moment to see who reacted with what.
