Stability and compatibility improvements.

Hebrew search now finds stories in the selected edition. The developing story updates when you switch languages. Alert choices have clear names and descriptions. This update improves startup compatibility with newer iOS versions.

Follow a story and baba tells you when it moves: another newsroom picks it up, or it develops. Your reading diet now shows which side of the press you actually opened, week by week. The plan page says exactly what News Plus adds, line by line, next to what stays free. Not Everywhere stories are free for everyone. A link to a Hebrew story now opens in the app instead of the browser. Sharing a story shows its own headline and picture, with a link to copy. Switching between Latest, Top and Updated is smoother, and the filter opens on the desks.

The Hebrew edition is properly Hebrew. The breaking strip and the Discover shelves were still arriving in English for readers without a subscription, and they now follow the language you picked, like the rest of the app. A headline we have not re-reported yet stays English, but it is now written left to right where it belongs instead of being pushed to the right margin. Desks, editorial communities and the wire's own section headings are translated too. Newsroom names are still their own.

Tapping through to a newsroom now opens their article inside baba, with their page exactly as they published it and our own bar over it: whose page you are on, where that newsroom leans, and every other newsroom that filed the same story, one tap away. Switching outlet keeps you in the story instead of sending you out to Safari, and Safari is still one tap away whenever you want it. When a publisher's page will not load, the frame says so and offers the next newsroom that ran it.

Not Everywhere stories, the ones one side of the press did not run, now stay in the wire with a readable headline and a line saying which side ran them. Opening one shows who ran it and who stayed quiet before you are asked for anything. How the headlines differ and who reported first keep their shape in the story, so you can see what is there. The daily brief email is now a switch in Notifications, and search says what it covers under the field.

Alerts now arrive: breaking news, your three daily briefs, and the newsrooms, topics and people you follow, in your language. A cleaner story page that says what you are following, and a Follow for the topic as well as the newsroom. Pick the desks you read during setup and the wire opens on them; one tap shows everything again. A new Updated sort surfaces stories whose reporting changed after they first ran. Filters are easier to read, and searching for a newsroom no longer hides behind the keyboard. Email settings for the daily brief, the weekly edition and breaking news, the same on the web. Crash and slow-request reporting so a wire that stalls on your phone is a bug we can see and fix.

Fixes Share and Open at the source from a story's long-press menu, which did nothing before. Saved stories no longer reload every time you open the tab, and Clear all now asks first. Follow a newsroom from the top of a story, and see how many people read it. A rebuilt account screen with your reading spread, a clearer News Plus page, and a first run that lets you pick Paper or Ink.
