Origin filters now work properly Choosing an origin group in Find — Arabic, East Asian, Nordic and the rest — used to leave the list unchanged if you had already picked countries in your preferences. That is fixed. What you choose on screen now takes priority, so selecting East Asian shows East Asian names. Ranking improved alongside it. A list of Japanese names is now ordered by how popular those names are in Japan, rather than by how popular they are wherever you happen to be. Previously the few names that existed in both places floated to the top and the rest sank out of sight. A banner ad, and full control over it BabiNamer now carries one banner ad at the bottom of list screens. That is the whole of it: no full-screen ads, no video, nothing that interrupts you while you are browsing names. We have also added basic usage measurement, so we can see which screens people actually use and spend our time improving those. You decide: • Nothing is measured and no personalised ads are shown until you agree. • In the EU and the UK you are asked on first launch. • You can review or withdraw your consent at any time from Profile > Privacy Settings > Ad preferences. • The app still never asks for your location. Ads use a rough country-level estimate from your IP address, not GPS. Our privacy policy now sets out exactly what is collected, by whom and why: babinamer.com/privacy Also in this release • Support requests now reach us. The in-app contact button previously opened an address we did not control. • Verification and password-reset emails arrive in the language you use the app in, rather than always in English.
