D-REC is the recorder for the set that anyone can use. Type the slate's timecode once and every line carries it, the markers land in DaVinci Resolve by colour, and the audio and the words never leave your iPhone. It writes down what it hears as it hears it, lets you rewind to any sentence, and keeps every word here. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is processed anywhere else.
ON SET
Type the camera's timecode from the slate and every line, every marker and the CSV count from it. Export markers DaVinci Resolve reads, coloured by kind. A closed set needs nothing uploaded, and nothing is.

TRANSCRIBE
Live text on the device, a chapter every five minutes, a recap the moment you stop, a summary of the whole take with its decisions and to-dos, and instant search. Recognition runs on Apple's on-device speech, and summaries on Apple's on-device model where your iPhone has one. No cloud speech, and no server ever receives your audio or your words.
YOURS
Copy the words out of any session, free and always. Exporting a file, text, CSV, Markdown or Resolve markers, is part of Pro, and so is handing over the recording itself. Wipe a session and it is gone from the only place it ever existed. No trackers, no advertising, no analytics company. D-REC keeps two counts and one switch in Settings turns both off: once a day it says a copy was opened, and the first time a copy records, exports, opens music mode, the checkout or a trial, uses the production tools or answers the rating ask, it says which. Each carries a random id and the platform, the daily one the version too, and never a word of what you recorded.
PRO
Takes run up to ten minutes without a plan, signed in or not, and five colorways are open to everyone. A free account also keeps three sessions on your device and reads your first three takes in full. D-REC Pro keeps takes as long as the day, reads every take, hands over the files and the recording itself, exports any part of a take, cuts a take on its transcript, reads who spoke when, opens music mode for your own audio files and all twenty seven colorways, and carries the production tools: the slate's timecode on every line and markers for DaVinci Resolve.
One Pro, two ways to pay. In the United States it is $3.99 a month, a first subscription beginning with seven days free, or $39.99 once and it is yours forever. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled in Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and nothing is charged. There is no tier above it. The account holds your email address, a sign-in identifier and your plan with its purchase record, and nothing you record.
