New in 1.3.2: • Different doneness levels in one batch: tap an egg in the row and turn the dial. Ovoid tells you when each egg goes in, and they are all ready together. • The Boil an egg like last time widget for your home screen. • The doneness dial is now a scale with a needle, like a measuring instrument. • The countdown draws the egg, from the tip all the way round.

New in 1.3.1: • Boil an egg like last time in one tap: press and hold the Ovoid icon on your home screen and choose Boil an egg like last time, and boiling starts after ten seconds. • In cooling water: bring the water to the boil, put the eggs in, put the lid on and lift the saucepan off the hob. Ovoid times the eggs in water that cools, and measures your saucepan once with a thermometer. • Delete an egg from the history: swipe the row to the left. Undo is right there if you change your mind. • Egg sizes for Japan, South Korea and South Africa, and weights in both ounces and grams in the US. • On iOS 26 or later, the menus and sheets take on Apple's Liquid Glass.

New in 1.3.0: • How did the egg turn out? Answer after boiling and Ovoid adjusts the yolk target for next time. • Boil an egg like last time, straight from the home screen. • Ovoid now speaks 61 languages and knows US and Canadian egg sizes. • Large text works across the whole main screen.

New in this version: • Same egg as last time: tap the grey recycling symbol under the dial and Ovoid brings back the last egg's measurements or size, doneness, egg temperature and cooking method. The question mark next to it explains. • Alarms: the beeps and the alarm keep time with the numbers, and from iOS 26.1 the alarm also sounds with a Focus mode on. When the next egg goes in, two short beeps sound and stop by themselves. • If the media volume is at zero, the app tells you before you start. • The cooking method is chosen with two pans, Cold water and Boiling water. • Cold water: Ovoid remembers how long your hob takes to come to the boil. The first time, you tap when the water boils; after that the app works it out. You can name your hobs, for example Kitchen and Guest house. • The boiling point is calculated from the air pressure from the phone's barometer, and the introduction helps you set up storage, water and altitude. • The app is now available in 30 languages.
