Version 1.6 Ready for iPhone Duo! Fills the full screen on both the outer and inner displays, folded or unfolded, upright or sideways. Sideways views now show both gauges side by side. New quick-action toolbar: Add Flight: jump straight to the entry form, ready to type. Sync Calendar: refresh your flights from your calendar with one tap. Daily Headroom: go directly to your planning calendar. 95-hr Buffer: turn the trading buffer on or off. The icon shows whether it’s on. Back to Top: return to your gauges from anywhere. On iPhone Duo, these buttons sit in the side rail next to the status bar. On other iPhones, they appear in a bar at the bottom of the screen. Under the hood: Updated for iOS 27. Layout and spacing fixes around the status bar and screen edges.

NEW: Mark deadhead and non-operating legs Calendar flights can't tell a deadhead from an operating leg, so every flight in the sync review now has a Type menu: Op, DH, or Non-op. DH and Non-op legs stay in your Flight Log but are left out of your 100/672 totals, gauges, Daily Headroom, and chart. Your choices are remembered across syncs and follow a flight even if it's retimed. In the Flight Log, tap any date with a ▸ to change a leg later. IMPORTANT if you're updating: legs from earlier syncs have no Type set, so deadheads you used to uncheck will count as operating until you mark them once. Unmarked legs overcount, never undercount. NEW: Flights you haven't reviewed are highlighted After your first review, new flights (a trade, an add, a swapped flight number) get a NEW badge, and "Show only new" cuts a weekly sync down to what actually changed. NEW: Optional auto-sync Turn on "Auto-sync when the app opens" in Import Schedule (off by default) and your upcoming calendar flights refresh each time you open the app. It never asks for calendar access on launch, never changes entries you added by hand, and leaves your data untouched if anything looks wrong. New flights count as operating until you review them, and a banner lets you know when there's something to check. NEW: Tap any day on Daily Headroom for an hour-by-hour breakdown See how your room changes through the day: when flights land, when older flights start and finish rolling off, and exactly which flights are counting at the day's worst point. NEW: Daily Headroom now matches how a trip trade is checked Each day's headroom is now measured at that day's highest point, instead of at midnight. Before, a day could look roomier than it really was: by midnight, flights from 28 days ago may have already rolled off the 672-hour window, even though they still counted when your trip actually landed. The calendar, gauges, and chart now reflect the number that matters for trading into a trip, in line with CCS+. NEW: Enter flights with exact times (advanced) In Log Flight Time, tap "+ Precise times (advanced)" to enter real departure and arrival airports and times instead of just a duration. These flights get the same minute-level treatment as calendar-synced ones. IMPROVED: Hours you correct by hand are kept when you sync again. IMPROVED: Minute-level accuracy. Totals are no longer rounded to a tenth of an hour, which removes small differences of a few minutes when comparing against other tools. IMPROVED: Calendar sync reaches back 35 days (up from 30) so everything in your rolling window stays current.

NEW: True rolling-clock accuracy for both the 100/672 and 60/168 limits The core math behind your rolling totals has been rebuilt from the ground up. Instead of approximating at the day level, the app now tracks the exact 672-hour and 168-hour windows down to the minute, using your real flight and duty timestamps. A flight that straddles the edge of the window is now counted correctly — only the portion that actually falls inside it. Validated extensively against real CCS+ data across multiple routes and dates. NEW: Works correctly for any home base, not just EWR Added a Home Base setting (in Import Schedule) so pilots based anywhere get the same accurate, internally-consistent date handling — not just those flying out of Newark. IMPROVED: Time now displays as HH:MM throughout the app Gauges, the Daily Headroom calendar, stat cards, and the flight log all now show time in hours:minutes instead of decimal hours, matching how your company's own systems display it. IMPROVED: Chart now leans toward your upcoming schedule The Daily Hours chart now shows roughly 10 days of recent history and 40 days ahead, instead of skewing toward past trips. FIXED: Re-syncing your calendar now fully refreshes the synced date range, eliminating a rare issue where repeated syncs could double-count a day's hours.

IMPROVED: Broader calendar compatibility Calendar sync now recognizes a second schedule format in addition to the original one — some crew calendar feeds structure trip data differently than others, and the app now handles both automatically, with no setup required. IMPROVED: Change your synced calendar anytime Previously, the calendar you picked on first use was locked in. There's now a "Change calendar" option always available next to the Sync button, so you can switch calendars whenever you need to. FIXED: Long westbound Pacific routes (e.g. US West Coast to East Asia) were sometimes showing blank flight hours after syncing, due to how the combination of time zone change and international date line crossing affects the local arrival date. Block hours now calculate correctly for these routes.

NEW: Flight Duty Period (FDP) tracking Track your rolling 60-hour FDP limit (60 hrs in any 168 hours) alongside your existing 100-hour flight time tracking. When you sync from Calendar, the app automatically works out each duty period's report and release times — using your actual published schedule, not an estimate — so this requires no extra manual entry for most trips. A manual FDP field is also available when logging a day by hand. IMPROVED: Much broader airport coverage Timezone-aware block time calculations now cover over 360 airports across the United, American, and Delta route networks — not just a handful of common ones. IMPROVED: Daily Headroom calendar Simplified to a single toggle for the 95-hour trading buffer instead of manual entry, and the underlying date calculations are now accurate no matter what timezone your device is set to — including while you're traveling internationally. FIXED: Chart data box now dismisses properly when tapped again, and the flight log no longer shows placeholder rows for report-date FDP entries that don't have their own block hours.

NEW: Sync your schedule directly from your Calendar app If your airline publishes your schedule to your device's Calendar app, FAR 117 Tracker can now read it directly — no more saving and re-importing a PDF every time your schedule changes. Tap "Sync from Calendar," review what it finds, and you're done. Re-sync anytime — it automatically updates changed trips and removes any that were dropped from your schedule. NEW: Two-gauge dashboard See your rolling 28-day total and how many hours you have available to pick up, side by side at a glance. NEW: Daily Headroom calendar A full month view, color-coded by how much flying you could safely add on any given day — built for bid planning. NEW: 95-hour trading buffer toggle Switch between the full 100-hour FAR limit and a 95-hour buffer with one tap. Plus accuracy improvements to timezone handling and the schedule-review workflow.
