Identify a fish. Remember the catch. Catcharium brings AI-assisted fish identification and your catch journal together. Take a photo or choose one from your library, get a species suggestion, and keep the catches that matter to you. IDENTIFY AND RECORD • Identify fish from a photo with an internet connection. • Save catch photos, dates, and lengths in your journal. • Review estimated or device-assisted lengths and enter your own measurements. BUILD YOUR COLLECTION • Bring your saved catches into a personal animated aquarium. • Track your collection, earn badges, and share catch cards when you choose. • Explore a 400-entry field guide covering fish and other aquatic animals. FREE AND PRO Free access includes 3 scans per day and basic guide information for catches in your collection. Catcharium Pro adds advanced AI identification, no daily scan allowance limit, access to the complete guide, search by localized, English, or scientific name, and fishing tips. Reasonable service and security limits still apply. Pro is offered through monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions or a one-time lifetime purchase. Available plans, features, and prices appear before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Lifetime access is a non-renewing purchase for the operating life of Catcharium. YOUR JOURNAL AND DATA Catcharium uses an automatically created anonymous account for private cloud backup of saved catches and photos. Recovery requires the same anonymous account; changing devices does not automatically transfer your journal. Other submitted scans are kept for 90 days. Delete your account and data from the app's settings. Restoring purchases restores eligible Pro access, not a journal tied to a different account. BEFORE YOU CAST The app and 400-entry guide support 10 languages. Names outside the guide remain in English, with scientific names when available. Legal and support webpages are in English. AI identifications and length estimates can be wrong. Verify fishing rules, protected species, catch sizes, and animal or food safety with authoritative sources. Catcharium is not a certified measuring tool. Great app, but…

It is a fantastic idea for an app, but paywall beside, the cropping tool is not the best, so you have to crop the image so much or even photoshop the fish into a background so strategically to get the app to think it is not a fake photo or you didn’t catch but to where the fish is cropped nicely. The app is also catered towards big sport fish and not micro fishers, which is a problem if one makes a fishing app only for big anglers, and you can’tsearch up species yourself, which is the worst idea when the ai is the worst at identifying fish like green sunfish as a long ear or something.

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! We definitely want Catcharium to be for all fishers, including microfishers. You're right about the cropping and AI identification issues, and we're working on improving both, along with adding manual species search. We're also planning to make the scanning feature accessible without a paywall. Really appreciate you helping us make the app better!

Best Idea Ever

@D1Catcher
It was about time someone made this app. A few months ago I had the idea that this would be genius if I could make an app like this, sure enough you beat me to it. Congratulations keep it up, this is gonna blow up trust. (I even got lifetime pro because I love it so much.) My only request is if you could add estimated weight based on the picture, and like a fish map kind of like fish brain where you can see all the best fishing spots that have been reported. OOO and maybe even for pro, you could use AI to scan the pond and show like the best areas to cast. One last thing, being able to have leagues and to rank people based on total catches would be a must have too. All I know is that these are some things that EVERYONE wants and would love it. Thanks!!!

Wow, this made our day! Thank you so much for getting Lifetime Pro and believing in Catcharium so early! We're already working on a fishing map, and we love your ideas about weight estimation, AI casting suggestions, and leaderboards. There's so much more we want to build, and feedback like yours really helps us shape what's next. Tight lines! 🎣

I love the app but to make it a 5 star for me just consider making it so your scan is only used if you save the catch if you release it or say it’s the wrong species your scan doesn’t leave also a choose species thing where you can choose the species in case it gets it wrong

Developer Response
Thanks so much for your feedback! We're adding free scanning to our plans, and the ability to manually select or correct fish species will be available in our next update! Really appreciate your support and patience as we keep improving Catcharium! 🎣

You have to pay to use the app and you can only log 3 fish. Not worth downloading.

Developer Response
Thanks for the feedback! 😊 Just to clarify, Catcharium is free to use and includes 3 free scans every day. A subscription is only needed if you’d like unlimited scans. We hope you’ll give it another try! 🎣🐟
