QDD is a bookkeeping app for private tutors — piano teachers, language tutors, anyone who teaches one-on-one and has to keep track of who paid for what.
It ties three things together that usually live in three different places: the lessons you schedule, the lessons you actually taught, and the payments that came in. Every payment is matched to the lessons it covers, so when a parent asks "what do we owe?" the answer is already there.
WHAT IT DOES
• Students and families — one record per family, with its students, their regular lesson time, hourly price and your notes.
• Calendar — recurring lessons are generated for you; reschedule, cancel or mark attendance in a tap.
• Payments — log each payment as it arrives (cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, bank transfer, WeChat Pay, Alipay…) and see exactly which lessons it covers and how much is still outstanding.
• Per lesson or prepaid — bill each family per lesson or from a prepaid block of lessons; the app tells you when a family's balance is running low.
• Monthly statements — a clean PDF per family showing lessons taught and money received, ready to send.
• Parent emails, sent in your name — lesson reminders, statements, payment confirmations and schedule changes. Every parent first receives a short notice explaining what they will get, with a link to opt out of any of it.
• Activity history — every change is recorded, so you can always see what happened and when.
• Face ID unlock, English and Chinese, and an export of your data whenever you want it.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
QDD never touches your money. It is not a payment processor and never asks for card or bank details — a payment record simply describes money that already changed hands somewhere else. Parents and students do not get accounts, and no other tutor can ever see your records.
WHO IT IS FOR
Independent tutors with roughly ten to forty students who are done with spreadsheets, chat threads and mental arithmetic at the end of every month.
