1.14 On a trial that shares its field with others, the map outlines the trial you are in, names the neighboring trials, and while surveying dims everything outside your trial. Plant positions placed from a planting plan or an image show as hollow rings until the plant is surveyed, and a plant that replaced a dead one shows as one card with the earlier plant kept under Previous plant here. Hazelnut trials that are not yet in Breedbase open from the picker, starting with the North Farm plantings and their drone image. Screen titles say plainly what each screen is, and the welcome tour can be opened again from Help.

1.13 Screen titles say plainly what each screen is, and the welcome tour can be opened again from Help. A plant that replaced a dead one shows as one card at its position, with the earlier plant kept under Previous plant here. Hazelnut trials that are not yet in Breedbase open from the picker the way chestnut ones do, starting with the North Farm plantings and their drone image. Plant positions placed from a planting plan or an image show as hollow rings on the map until the plant is surveyed.

1.12 The Ask control on the plant card sits beside Info, so long plant names no longer wrap. The assistant's example question reads as an example and clears when you tap the box. The Help now has a page for each app with a search box, and the field app's Help can answer questions about using the app from the manual.

1.10 Survey asks before saving a point that sits on another plant's recorded spot, naming the distance and the plant, with Save anyway and Discard, so a double press no longer records the next plant at the same place. A new setting, Start each plant at the first trait, opens the score card on the first trait whenever the plant changes, for crews who score every trait on every plant in the same order. It is off unless you turn it on. The two Becker hazelnut trials have a map image from the September 2025 drone flight. Open the trial, choose Download map imagery from the menu, and download it over Wi-Fi.

1.9 Tilt compensation records the pole tip when your receiver reports its attitude. Survey points, photos, map positions and plant distance checks use the pole height plus the receiver offset. Survey refuses a point if compensation stops while recording. The Receiver screen shows tilt and alignment guidance, and survey exports and review identify compensated points. The survey map fills the screen with the plant name on two lines.

An optional assistant, opened from Ask about this trial, answers questions about the trial on your phone. It is available only to access codes that include it. You can type a question or speak it, and the phone can read the answer aloud. The first time, the app asks your permission and explains what is sent and to whom. The score card shows a plant's earlier score from the current round. A setting turns the green flash after a save on or off. The Receiver screen can look up the datum a correction service uses. Every button changes color while it is pressed, in every theme. Diagnostics is tidier, and the list of tested receivers folds away. After the app reloads in the background, it no longer reports its own corrections as coming from outside the app. For a SparkPNT receiver, the Receiver screen says whether the receiver is using the corrections it is sent. Survey no longer needs the accuracy check. Enter the pole height on the Receiver screen once for each receiver. To check a receiver, put it in the center of a plant whose position is on record, and the Receiver screen shows how far you are from that position. A trial can name one plant as its reference. Survey warns when a point is much farther from the previous plant than the row's spacing. For access codes that include the assistant, each plant's card has an Ask button for questions about that plant. A trial's map can be a county aerial photograph as well as a drone image. Back returns to the screen that opened Sync, Receiver, the gallery or map imagery, and Back on a photo or score card returns to the category or trait you chose. Saving an empty note or asking an empty question now says what is missing.

For an Emlid Reach RX, RX2 or RS2+, enter the pole height and the app adds the receiver's offset, showing the antenna height it will use. Survey records a position only from a connected receiver that has passed its accuracy check. A Single solution point is held until you choose to record it, and survey sheets now include the receiver's solution. Corrections from WISCORS now arrive: the position the app sends to a caster includes altitude and precision. A pasted caster address is cleaned up, a refused Start says why, and mountpoints the app cannot use are grayed out. Valley Farm's orange field tags open their plant when scanned or typed into Find. Diagnostics can record a minute of the messages a receiver sends, with a note, to help diagnose receiver behavior. Voice recordings show their length, recover correctly, and appear on the Sync screen.

Planting mode records new plants in an existing trial as they go in the ground. It proposes the next plant number in the row and saves the receiver position with the material planted. You can scan an old field label stored in Breedbase, or type it into Find, to open its plant. You can switch between a plant and its plot, and each keeps its own place in the walk. A photo taken while a trait is on the card is filed with that trait. Prev, Find and Next stay pinned above the tabs, pressing Return records a typed score, and you can skip plants already scored. On hazelnut, the status rule for yield scores accepts a status recorded on any phone or already in Breedbase, and the trait list is grouped by category. The SparkFun SparkPNT TX2 receiver is supported, and every recorded position includes its reference frame.
