Current is a podcast player for people who listen closely. Read along with any episode, search it for the line you half remember, and translate it into another language, then hear the translation read aloud. No account, no ads, no tracking.
READ WHAT YOU ARE HEARING
Current Plus transcribes any episode on your iPhone or iPad, and three transcripts a month are free without it. Search a two-hour interview for the one thing you remember, tap any line to jump straight to it, and pull a quote out with its timestamp already attached. Nothing is uploaded to be transcribed. It all happens on your device.
IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Current Plus translates a transcript on your device into another language, starting from the moment you are at, and can read the translation aloud. Podcast Memory searches what was said across every episode you have transcribed, and plays the moment it finds.
CHAPTERS, EVEN WHERE THERE ARE NONE
Most shows never write chapters. With Current Plus, Current reads the transcript and works them out, so you can see the shape of an episode before you commit two hours to it, and skip to the part you came for.
FINISH SOONER, HEAR IT BETTER
Current Plus trims the long pauses out, so an episode takes less of your evening. It can also reduce background noise on the episodes that have it, leaving clean recordings untouched, lift quiet voices so you can hear them in the street, soften sudden loud moments, and even out the volume between shows.
BUILT FOR ONE HAND
Swipe any episode to queue, save, download or archive it, or press and hold for everything else. Build lists and smart collections, and choose which of them download new episodes by themselves. Set the speed you like. Reorder the player's own pages so what you use is where your thumb is. Set a sleep timer that fades out gently. Plays in CarPlay.
YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS
No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your subscriptions and your listening stay on your devices, and move between your iPhone and iPad only through your own iCloud.
Add any public or private RSS feed, or bring your whole library across by OPML from whatever you are using now.
FREE, AND WHAT CURRENT PLUS ADDS
Finding, following, playing and downloading podcasts is free and always will be, and so is everything under Built for One Hand. Three transcripts a month are free. Unlimited transcripts, translation, Podcast Memory, generated chapters and the audio tools (trim silence, voice enhance, noise reduction, reduce loud sounds and Even Out Volume) need Current Plus.
Current Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, paid monthly or yearly. New subscribers may get a free first month; the offer and the price for your country are shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings. With Family Sharing, up to five family members can use one subscription.
