SOUND LIBRARY 31 ready-made sounds by genre —salsa, cumbia, bachata, merengue, banda, norteño, grupero, bolero, ballad, blues, jazz, bossa nova, gospel, pop, 80s, rock and reggaeton— plus your scans with song and artist. Accent-insensitive search and filters by genre, source and effect. PLAY WITH YOUR KEYBOARD Connect a MIDI keyboard over USB and play through the effect chain. The keyboard's knobs move the app's controls. ROLAND JUNO-DS: LET THE KEYBOARD PLAY With a JUNO-DS, the app can make the keyboard itself play. Each sound says how: "Roland sound" loads one of its sounds by number, as is; "Effects only" writes the app's reverb, echo or chorus into it; "Combined" does both. When you leave, the keyboard goes back to how it was. AND ALSO Bigger effect controls, a grid layout on iPad, real-time changes, and the app in Brazilian Portuguese, German and Japanese as well as Spanish and English.

MIDI KEYBOARDS Plug a MIDI keyboard into your iPhone over USB and play with the effect chain the app just measured. Velocity and the sustain pedal come through, and the polyphony now holds a pedalled chord without cutting notes. The app shows you what it can actually read from your keyboard, what it can only infer from what you play, and what MIDI simply does not say — the number of keys, the key action or whether a pedal is even plugged in do not travel over the protocol, so the app does not invent them. NOW IN ENGLISH The whole interface is translated, note names included: C4 where it used to say do4.
