Haider
Prayer times, Qibla and Duas
Only for iPhone
Free · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
iPhone
Haider is a prayer companion for the Shia community — prayer times, the Qibla, duas and the Islamic calendar, all on your phone and all working offline.
PRAYER TIMES
Accurate times calculated on your device for wherever you are, following Ja'fari practice: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, with Maghrib taken from the sun's angle rather than a flat delay after sunset.
THE ADHAN
Choose the voice that calls you to prayer — from the shrine of Imam Ali in Najaf, from Karbala, or the official adhan of Abathar al-Halwaji. Full recordings, stored in the app, so they play with no internet.
QIBLA COMPASS
A live compass pointing to the Ka'bah from where you stand, with the distance and a gentle vibration when you are aligned.
DUAS AND ZIYARAT
Dua Kumayl, Iftitah, Tawassul, Ziyarat Ashura, Sahifa Sajjadiya supplications and more — each with the Arabic, a translation, and a note on who recommended it and when it is recited.
BASIC COURSES
Free lessons on the foundations: the five roots of religion, the ten branches, and how the prayer is actually performed, step by step, including the night prayer.
SHIA HISTORY
The lives of the Prophet, Lady Fatima and the Twelve Imams across sixty chapters, with timelines and quizzes.
ISLAMIC CALENDAR
Hijri dates alongside Gregorian, the births and martyrdoms through the year, and reminders for the days that matter to you.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no account required and no server. Your location, bookmarks, reminders and settings never leave your phone. No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
Available in English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Azerbaijani, Turkish, French and Spanish.
