Trejournal is a simple register of individual trees, kept where the tree stands. For arborists and tree surgeons, park and estate managers, local authorities, forestry, landscape architects and anyone else who records trees in the field. Metric units and a fixed price, with no account and no set-up cost.
Each tree keeps its own dated history: what was done, when, and by which method.
RECORD THE TREE
• Species, reference and status (standing or removed)
• Retention tree: tick the trees left standing at harvest — counted per project
• Age: not known, estimated or known, with the date it was recorded
• Position with one tap, typed in by hand, or corrected on a map
• Stem circumference in centimetres and height in metres
• Location and surroundings — what stands within fall distance, and anything observed by a road or traffic, with your own description
• Nine fixed findings, each with room for a line of description, and "not recorded" where you did not look
• Photos from the camera or the library, with captions
KEEP IT IN ORDER
• Trees are grouped in projects, so two jobs never share one list

• Search by reference and species
TAKE IT WITH YOU
• The whole register or one project as an Excel file, a text file (CSV) or a map file (GeoJSON, for QGIS and other GIS tools)
• One tree as a PDF, or as a package of text and image files ready for Word
• A full backup that can be read back in, also on a new device
THE APP ASSESSES NOTHING
A report on a tree has five parts: facts, method, findings, assessment and recommendations. Trejournal records the first three, so a professional can write the last two. The app never assigns a risk category, never recommends work and never works out whether a tree is safe. It does not replace the arborist's judgement, and it is not meant to.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON THE DEVICE
No account, no sign-in, no analytics. Trees, positions and photos are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. The only thing the app fetches from the internet is map tiles, and only when you open the map. Everything else works without signal. Photos are stored without the camera's built-in location data.
NORWEGIAN AND ENGLISH
The app can be used in Norwegian or English, and the exports follow the language you choose.
SUBSCRIPTION
Try free for 14 days. After that NOK 199 per month or NOK 1,899 per year, charged to your Apple ID. In other countries the price is shown in local currency under "In-App Purchases". The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, at least 24 hours before the period ends, under Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
With a subscription you record and edit. Without one you can always read, export, back up and delete what is recorded — your register is yours regardless.

• When you delete a tree, the app says how many photos and entries go with it. For a tree still marked as standing, it also offers "Mark as removed", which keeps everything.
