iPhone
Sixty real sleep sounds for you and your baby: white noise, fans, rain and shushing. No ads, works offline. Try every sound free for 7 days.
Nightfan is the sound machine that lives in your phone: white noise, fans, rain and shushing to help you, and your baby, fall asleep and stay asleep.
Sixty sounds, ready the moment you open the app. No sign-in, no account, no advertising, and everything works offline.
REAL RECORDINGS, NOT SYNTHETIC LOOPS
Rain on a window, rain on a tent, a downpour, rolling thunder, waves on rocks, a bubbling brook, a waterfall, night frogs, crickets, a dawn chorus, wind in the grass, a cat purring, underwater and more, cut from field recordings and looped so cleanly you cannot hear where they repeat.
THE FANS PARENTS ACTUALLY USE
A box fan, a ceiling fan, a desk fan, a tower fan, an industrial fan, a window air conditioner, an air purifier, a hair dryer, a vacuum in the next room, a tumble dryer, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a train carriage, a plane cabin and a car at night.
WHITE NOISE THAT IS ACTUALLY THE RIGHT COLOR
White, pink, brown and deep brown noise, built to their exact definitions rather than approximated, plus delta waves for slow, even breathing.
FOR NEWBORNS
Shushing, a heartbeat, womb sounds, a music box and soft humming, for the first months when only the womb will do.
FOR GROWN-UPS, TOO
Mask a snoring partner, a noisy street, tinnitus or a busy mind. Brown noise for focus while you work. Brown noise for deep sleep, a fan for the hum you grew up with, rain for when you need to switch off. Mix two, set a timer, and let the screen go dark.
BUILT FOR THREE IN THE MORNING
• One tap from opening the app to sound playing
• Turn the ring around the play button to set the volume, no sliders to find in the dark
• Sleep timer with a slow fade, or run until morning
• Night Mode: the screen goes fully black; one tap wakes it, and +30 min adds half an hour
• Night light: a slow, dim starfield for feeds and changes
• Mixer: lay rain under a fan, set each one's volume, save it as a preset
• Volume limiter that caps every sound for a nursery, on by default
• Lock screen and background playback that survives a phone call
• Eleven languages, including full right-to-left support
SAFE LISTENING
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping sound machines at or below 50 decibels and at least 7 feet (2 meters) from where a baby sleeps. Nightfan includes a safe listening guide and a volume limiter, on by default.
FREE AND PREMIUM
Seven sounds are free forever: two fans, brown noise, rain on a window, shushing, a heartbeat and a piano lullaby. Premium unlocks all sixty sounds, the mixer, every timer length and unlimited presets.
Premium is available as a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

Every recording is credited in the app under Settings, Sound credits.
A much smaller download: less than half the size, with every sound still offline.
Onboarding now asks who the app is for instead of guessing.
If Nightfan helps your nights, you can now rate it from Settings. It helps other tired parents find it.
