Mame - Our Family Pet
A pet that hops between phones

iPhone
One little pet travels between your family's phones. You always know whose phone it is on. It eats photos, and what it learns about you never leaves the device.
Mame is a tiny creature born inside your phone. It can only be in one place at a time.
■ You always know where it is
When Mame is on Mom's phone, your phone shows an empty nest. Send it to Dad and it travels there, taking a little while to arrive. Once two phones have met over a QR code, Mame will sometimes wander over on its own. The empty nest makes you look forward to its return.
■ Food is photos
Every morning Mame asks for "something green-ish" or "something red". Take the photo right there with the in-app camera and Mame eats it. It reacts on five levels, in motion and in vibration, so you feel how happy it is in your hand.
Shoot the same thing twice, or shoot from the same spot, and Mame is less impressed. "I want one from farther away." "I want other colors too." It pulls you outside. The colors it eats become the color of its body. No two Mame look alike.
■ It remembers you
Talk to Mame and it slowly learns about you. It speaks politely to Mom and casually to your little brother. What you tell it in private, it never tells anyone else. Everything it remembers is in a notebook you can read, and you can make it forget with one tap.
■ Memory stays on the device
Mame's conversation is generated by a small AI running on your phone. Nothing is sent to the internet. Photos never leave the device either. Only when Mame travels is an encrypted box carried by a relay server, and the server cannot open it. No account, no sign-up.
Free. Mame travels between the phones of your family or partner.
Ratings & Reviews

Mame talks more like Mame.
• No more repeating the same line. Instead of filler, Mame asks about what you said, and follows up on things it remembers (“what happened next?”)
• Mame brings up its own topics: the last meal, today’s quest, the time of day
• Tickle spot: every Mame has one spot that makes it burst out laughing when stroked. The finder’s name is kept, and you can share it as a card
• Mame pokes back: poke too much and Mame returns the poke. Keep going and it sulks for a while (and tells the next family member)
• “OK for family” and “undo” on the remembered chip now update as pressed
• A photo no longer appears under two colors in the album
