Ossiato: Stutter & Stammer
DAF speech fluency & call prep
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Put on headphones, tap once and hear your voice a split second later — many people who stutter find words flow more easily. Plus daily practice and a call trainer.
Ossiato is a pocket tool that helps you speak more smoothly right now — and practise every day so you can speak confidently without it.
Put on headphones and tap once. You hear your own voice with a short delay (DAF) and, if you like, a slightly lower pitch (FAF). Many people who stutter find their speech flows more easily with this kind of feedback. It keeps working with the screen locked — in conversations, presentations and interviews.
ONE CALM BUTTON
• Presets for conversation, presentations, calls and practice — switch in a second.
• Quick adjust: delay and pitch sliders right on the main screen.
• Live Activity, Control Center, Action Button and Apple Watch to start and stop without unlocking.
HONEST LATENCY
• Ossiato measures your headphones and shows the delay you actually hear.
• Wired headphones give the shortest delay; AirPods and other Bluetooth headphones work too.
A SKILL THAT STAYS
• An 8-week programme, 10–15 minutes a day: reading aloud, gentle onsets, stretched speech, free speaking.
• Support is reduced step by step so the skill carries over into everyday speech.
PHONE-CALL TRAINER
• Rehearse booking a doctor, talking to a courier or answering a recruiter.
• Choose a patient, hurried or clarifying caller. Delayed feedback can fade out during the call.
PROGRESS YOU CAN HEAR
• Your own ratings, pace and pauses, week by week.
• Listen to the same text a month ago and now.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Audio is processed on your iPhone. Recordings never leave the device. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Ossiato is a practice tool, not a medical device, and does not replace working with a speech-language professional. iOS does not allow apps to change the sound of real phone calls — that's why Ossiato includes a call trainer.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Clearer store page and a few small improvements. After a session that felt smooth, Ossiato may now ask once whether you'd like to rate it — it really helps other people who stutter find the app.
