Three synth engines, auto-chords, an arpeggiator and a looper that stays in time with the beat. Play from the screen or a MIDI keyboard, and sync with Zampler.
Zynther is a pocket synthesizer with three engines in one: warm analog-style subtraction, morphing wavetables and six-operator FM. Play it on a piano keyboard, arpeggiate whole chords from one key, loop what you play and layer on top, all in time with other Beatz apps nearby.
THREE ENGINES
• Subtractive: two oscillators (saw, square, triangle or sine) plus noise, with detune, octave shifts and pulse width
• Wavetable: six tables of shapes that morph as you sweep Position, by hand, by envelope or by LFO
• FM: six operators and all 32 classic algorithms, with ratio, level and envelope for every operator. A live diagram shows which operators you hear and which shape the sound.
SHAPE THE SOUND
• Resonant low-pass, band-pass and high-pass filter with drive, key tracking and its own envelope
• Amp envelope, mono mode with glide
• Stereo unison: stack up to four detuned copies and spread them across the stereo field
• LFO for vibrato, filter sweeps or wavetable motion, free or locked to the tempo
EFFECTS
Chorus, a tempo-synced delay with ping-pong, and reverb.
PLAY MORE WITH LESS
• Auto-chord: one key plays a whole chord. Choose major, minor, sevenths, sus or power chords, or pick a key and scale and every key plays its chord in that key.
• Arpeggiator: up, down, up/down, random or as played, across one to three octaves, with gate and swing
• Repeat: hold a chord and it repeats in time
• Hold keeps it going after you lift your fingers
LOOPER
Record 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars and it loops. Keep playing on top, add more layers, undo the last one. While the transport runs, loops start on the bar and stay locked to the beat. Save a loop as a take, or to the shared Beatz library to use in Zampler.
SOUNDS TO START FROM
23 factory sounds across keys, bass, leads, pads, plucks and bells, arps and chords, plus three preset slots for your own.
MIDI KEYBOARDS
Play Zynther from any USB or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard, on any channel, with sustain pedal.
PLAY TOGETHER
Sync tempo, start and stop with other devices running Zynther or Zampler nearby, over Wi-Fi or peer-to-peer. Clocks lock together so arps, LFOs and loops stay in time.
RECORD AND EXPORT
Record everything you play at 44.1 or 48 kHz. Export takes as WAV, AIFF, CAF, FLAC, Apple Lossless or AAC, find them in the Files app, or save them to the Beatz library for Zampler.

BUILT FOR EVERY SCREEN
Zynther plays in landscape on iPhone and iPad. On larger screens, and on iPhone Duo when unfolded, it shows more pages at once and keeps the keys well proportioned.
