I have used several document processing accounting apps and I have to say Hubdoc is very poor and I see Xero has now started to advertise use of its own improved data scanning inbox on its screens again - connected? - as I get Hubdoc as part of my package. It’s so slow. Creates too many published duplicates and difficult to Amend if you make a mistake and have to redownload and publish again other wise it rejects. Can’t copy with multiple lines and pop up lists frequently hang making data processing painful and slow. When you publish files it gives them its own reference beginning in HD when you want to search in Xero for the actual bill number. I hate it. I now just store documents there and archive to keep in one place but also send all to Xero inbox to publish from there for ease. My other company in US uses ZOHO and ZOHO inbox which is far superior and reduces data input immensely for our team. Hubdoc need to make serious improvements.
Works But Lacks Basic Features

My company uses Hubdoc because our accounting/bookkeeping firm wants us to and as an IT company we're trying to get them to dump it because Hubdoc is lacking in so many ways and there hasn't been any meaningful updates in years. My biggest complaints are the lack of image control options in the mobile app and lack of security - they log you out every 30 min on the app and web site with no way to change the behavior, very detrimental to productivity. Hubdoc calls this a "security feature" yet they lack a modern authentication capability (think biometrics) and integration with major SSO services. It's just awful so do yourself a favor and steer clear.

I’m surprised there is actually no built in crop / auto scan convert to black and white doc… it’s simply just a picture sent as a “doc” pretty disappointing…..

I am so glad they finally got around to updating the app. This update is a 10x improvement and I’m happy to see it.The first feature I would like to see Hubdoc add to the new app is notes.
