I really like the app. It keeps me informed and what’s going on in Montgomery County Ohio and the surrounding Miami Valley area. It has up to the minute news along with local traffic updates. If I could make a suggestion. When I tap on the video I have to watch a 30 to 45 second commercial where I want to get to the story much quicker. I know you need advertising dollars to keep the app going, but is there anything you can do about that either shorten the videos or have a paid $1.99 so we don’t have to watch the same commercial over and over again. That’s my only suggestion for you.

Channel 7 news people do way more censoring than they should. Like most tv stations channel 7 is run by owners who force employees to behave like robots who can only say so many things because employees fear they will be fired if they show some views as individuals. It’s sickening to see even at 2024 lots of tv workers from channel 7 and other stations, workers appear as they are which are very reading (phony and fake)and quite boring to many who watch news like myself. There are some channel 7 workers like weather lady Ms. Ritz who appear not as a robot but human. I sure miss Don Wayne and Gil Whitney and if corse Jim Baldridge( sorry If I misspelled his name. Cheryl McHenry is Great too. I don’t know how she can take the phoniness but I will give the phonys the benefit of doubt by saying we all have a fee will from God to be transparent as possible to God and others. I just wish news was not as scrutinized as it is by owners of stations. The public can’t blame everyone for being genuine and real. We all are imperfect but this madness of reluctancy to comment on racism, police brutality human trafficking and politics is enough to make anyone throw up. Channel 7 workers those who fail to be real with the public, please ask God to give you a stronger spinal column so you can help our world be informed more with realness and quit allowing owners to dictate to you how to stifle being human.
Springfield
Senior snothead
I have had this app for a few years but never find a place to comment on articles. I am concerned that the Haitians in Springfield are getting better treatment than it’s citizens. First, their driving habits are atrocious and yet the only commit by DeWine(grinning) saying they really can’t drive! How are they getting drivers license? They run red lights all the time, they get in accidents and I see them laughing! I know this first hand because I have a job to which I drive 3 days a week in Springfield. I know the police are so under-manned. And then I hear on the news that Springfield residents that are sometimes handicapped, being kicked out of their housing because they are on section 8, just so landlords can charge more for Haitian residents! That should be illegal. You are making our citizens homeless, no matter their condition, just so you can make more money! I am not against the Haitians wanting to have a better life, but they must learn our laws and absolutely no driving until they have been thru 6 weeks of driving school!

It is pretty frustrating to get a notification of a news story, click on it, ant the only thing that happens is: The app just opens and shows a list of top stories ( none of which are the story of the notification that brought you there ). The app opens with the list of stories and you can hear an unrelated video ad playing followed by an unrelated video on a story that has nothing to do with the notification that brought you there. If you click around on the app trying to find the video that you hear, good luck. If you want to try to find the story that generated the notification that brought you to the app, it is nowhere to be found. The app is so awful that I caught myself laughing out loud a couple of times. Frankly I’m embarrassed for the folks over at WHIO. I’m just going to uninstall it and check back in a year or so. Hopefully they’ll have it right by then.
