Wonolo is honestly a saving grace for people like myself who need to get work immediately and make some money instantly. Using Wonolo cuts out the whole long-term interviewing process that is involved with getting a job and allows people to individually make their schedule around their life by choosing what days and times they are available. For my life and situation Wonolo has been extremely helpful and just what I need to be able to get by. Wonolo has your back 100% as well. If you had a problem at work and you write them they will listen to your side. If you have an emergency and can’t make it to work, they’re understanding as long as you communicate with them. Every single person I have interacted with who works for Wonolo has been so respectful and treated me like a person and I am so thankful for Wonolo for giving me a chance to get my life in order when I didn’t know where else to turn! The benefits I have received from Wonolo far outweigh the negative so THANK YOU WONOLO for making going to work as simple as it could possibly be and allowing me to be in control of my life in so many ways!

This isn’t the same as Temp agencies who pay the same or within 48 hours. Sometimes your job can be approved by the requestor the same day and it’ll still take 3 or 4 days for your payment for non W-2 jobs to process before it’s actually delivered to your bank account. Their live agent support takes days, if ever to get back to you after contacting support. They have jobs across the U.S but not everywhere and you have to travel to be within their jobs available network which I’m not totally complaining about because most of it is 1099 work and when good jobs come up it really comes through. I have had jobs approved and pay delivered the same day. But I did two assignments for them recently that have already been approved by the requestor and it’s been almost 72 hours for one of them and over 48 hours for the other and the payment still says processing even though it’s already been approved. They tell you the perspective day you should receive payment but the dates can unexpectedly put back. Then they have a lot of jobs that you can join the waitlist for that still appear in your job search but really aren’t available. I guess I’m writing this review because I’m frustrated that they haven’t reach out to me yet about the two approved assignments I’ve completed which they really can’t payout the same day they’re approved because they have on a few occasions done it before.

In an attempt to fine flexible work, I hopped onto the App Store and found Wonolo. I decided to download it since the interface looked nice and it had several high scoring reviews. Immediately after creating my profile, the app let me know they are not allowing companies in California (the state I reside in) to make job postings. Understandable, I’ll just delete/deactivate my account. Wonolo does not allow you to do so on your own— you must contact customer support, who’s only form of communication is through email. I fill out the form and await a reply. I am unable to respond until a few days later. By this point, I receive an auto response saying the ticket has been closed and I need to resubmit. Frustrating, but I create a new ticket. The following day I go to respond to the new email and it says again the ticket has been closed, even though it has been opened for less than 24 hours at this point. Again, I’m instructed to resubmit yet another request. I scour the internet in an attempt to find any other contact information, to no avail. I had no negative feelings about not being able to use the app to its fullest abilities, but this is downright ludicrous that you cannot delete your account on your own. Obviously I do not recommend this for anyone in California but beyond that, I will never recommend this to anyone for the simple fact that you cannot address concerns en vivo and the customer support is a joke.

I have worked through wonolo for years. My most recent job was a long term position and i was just a few days away from making 10 months with the same company through wonolo. The company was about to began my hiring process to work directly with them instead of through wonolo. Obviously we were waiting until the last week of my contract so that by the time i reached the last day of my contract i would be an official employee of the company. Wonolo did a random background check and found nothing new. Yes there is a larceny charge from 6 years ago but that charge was there when they did the initial bg check for wonolo and was there when they did the deep dive bg check for this initial company. Again.. no new charges but somehow they came to the decision to cancel the remainder of my jobs and deactivate my account so that i no longer have access to wonolo. The supervisor at the company even contacted wonolo asking them to allow me to finish my contract since i was to be hired on full time soon and all they had to say to him was "sorry". Don't waste your time and energy on wonolo. No matter how good you work and how consistent you are they'll find a way to screw you over. There is no phone support AT ALL and online support is chatbots or you have the option for a wonolo agent to text you in which they literally never do. Take my advice and find employment else where
