This is a very useful app for learning Portuguese. It can do voice translation in addition to text and image translations, like words in signs or menus. Might be nice to add image recognition with translations at some point. The translators work offline which is really handy when you’re on a plane or off the grid. But this app is so much more than a standard translator like Google or Bing. It has an excellent dictionary which is great for finding usage examples and noun gender which is important in Portuguese.The app has a conjugator with thousands common verbs and you can switch back and forth from the dictionary to the translator. The app also has some fun features to help you practice vocabulary like flashcards and multiple choice quizzes.Overall, it’s been a god send for my travels to Brazil and keeping in touch with friends 👍🏼

Portuguese + Brazilian, sweet

I’m thinking of taking a trip to Brazil and I’ve used apps from this developer to successfully to prepare for other trips.The translator is good for travels because it works offline in case you are stuck without wifi. You can do voice and photo translation offline too so it’s fast and efficient. Phrasebook is a bit sparse. Verb conjugation good for mastery of language 😎

Downloaded a few of these apps for trip to Brazil. Finding this useful for Brazilian and Portuguese which are 90% similar but with some differences. Using Babbel for lessons but this Solis complimentary because I can translate phrases and get a lot of dictionary usage examples verb conjugation etc

* Added Settings to Start App on Translator, Dictionary or Last tab you left off on before quitting. Tap on More in the tab bar to access Settings.
* Fixed bugs causing crash on startup for some users with older versions of iOS.
* Improved Voice Translator interface to emulate iOS apps such as Voice Memos. Tap the red button to start recording and tap again to end recording.
* Improved Image Translator by adding a button on screen to take a photo of text to translate.
* Restored access to the dictionary and conjugation tabs while in iPad portrait mode.
* Restored iPad split panel when rotating from portrait to landscape.
* Fixed issue in Translator causing user submitted text to be cropped.
* Improved dictionary search bar for iPad users, increasing width to allow users to access globe icon for online lookups.
