A simple app that shows all the photos on your iPhone, iPad and your iCloud Photo Library that were taken on this day throughout the years.

MacStories.net: Once you’ve put all your photos together you deserve an app to easily relive all your memories and discover old pictures again. Photo Flashback does exactly this.
AppAdvice: It’s a simple but smart app, and one users will enjoy. Now, however, Photo Flashback is even better.
***
Be surprised every day! You can also look up any day of the year, perfect for special occasion days like birthdays and anniversaries!
Features:
- Enable notifications for when you have Flashback photos
- Today widget
- iMessage app
- Favorite or delete a photo from within the app
- Include or exclude this years photos
- Share a photo using the build-in system share sheet
- Your privacy is important, especially regarding your photos. All of the functionality of the app is done locally on your device, even notifications. When downloading a photo from iCloud, the app asks iOS to do it. Sharing is done only when the user chooses to do it.
Love the simplicity and ease of seeing photos from years ago on this day. Also makes deleting old photos (and doubles when I took 10 to get a good one or stupid screenshots) less overwhelming since it’s just a few. LOVE being able to delete from within the app. I can’t think of anything I’d like to be added (and I usually can for apps). Maybe a link to the AppStore for review (but no annoying reminders). Thanks for a great app.
Pretty cool app, needs full screen viewing

First off love the app. This should be in the stock photos app in memories. No clue why it isn’t. You emulate the photos app pretty nicely but I find myself tapping on the image to show it full screen with black borders, like how the photos app does, but of course it doesn’t work. Would love to see that feature added in. It’s a great free app. Love it.Also as I use it more I find it crashing when swiping through photos and they are in iCloud Photo Library but not downloaded to the phone. Seems when you swipe though and they consecutively download it makes the app crash.
Love it!

What a wonderful idea to include the option to delete photos within the app! I’ve always been overwhelmed by the task of clearing out my photo album, but this makes it so easy since it’s just one day at a time. Obviously this app isn’t marketed as that, but that makes it unique as one of these flashback apps! I also love the clean interface. I’m looking forward to new features!
Wonderful app

Every night at 9pm the app notifies me and I get to walk down memory lane. I also use it as an opportunity to prune my collection. As such I wish the delete button were bigger. Other than that I love this app.
New in Photo Flashback 5.1:
- Restores the iMessage app.
- Fixes an issue where changing settings wouldn't refresh the Flashback view.
- Fixes an issue where settings wouldn't sync to the Today widget.
From the previous release:
Photo Flashback 5 is a complete rebuild of most of the app. Here's what's new:
- A new, simpler design for the app
- Support for dark mode
- Support for Haptic Touch
- Ability to hide photos from the context menu
- The timeline view now shows the currently selected date
- The timeline view scrolls to the currently selected date instead of today's date
- Multiple window support for iPad
- Keyboard support for iPad
- Many bug fixes
The changes in the code should make it easier to add new features. This release removed the Watch app. I'll add it back as soon as I can. Let me know if this was important for you.
