TUNITY allows you to hear any live muted TV. You simply scan the TV with the camera in the app, and let Tunity do its magic: identify the channel and the exact timing of what you’re watching, and streams the synchronized audio to your headphones or bluetooth speaker. With the new Quick Tune feature, channels you (or anyone else in that venue) listened to are automatically saved in Quick Tune, so you can listen to it simply by choosing the channel from the Quick Tune list, without the need to rescan!

Where Should I Use Tunity? To put it simply—ANYWHERE! At bars, restaurants, gyms, airports, hotels and anywhere else where there are muted TVs.

If you are a venue owner, Tunity is the perfect audio solution for your venue, with no hardware installation required. Go to www.Tunity.com to learn how you can become a Tuntiy partner venue.

Please note Tunity only supports live TV and doesn’t support online content like YouTube, streaming services, etc.

For live TV, however, it works like magic. Don't just take our word for it:

Ryan Hoover - Founder, Product Hunt: "Really clever. This would be a great companion at the gym to listen to muted TV's in front of rows of elliptical machines"

CNET: "Tunity streams TV audio to your smartphone…and it's darn cool…the app has the potential to be a huge hit"

Touch Arcade: "Tunity feels like magic- Particularly when paired with AirPods, and you seriously just have to try it."

Lorita81 ,

Finally! Thank you (see CC update 1/22)

Super happy to have this app. For years I have been wanting this exact ability. Works well and I am sure they will continue to improve.

Update Jan 2020: still love app and appreciate this unique ability (I would pay for this if....)
But.....whenever it is a major sporting event the audio does not keep up. I use this daily and can tell the difference between a big game and a normal game (ratings wise of any kind). So, maybe the networks are making it hard for you or the traffic is delaying the app but this needs to be fixed. Like I said: charge us a flat fee or small mo fee and step it up. Thank you again. Being first is tough I imagine.

Hi Lorita81, thanks for reaching out. I can assure you that the type of programming does not matter. If the audio is not in sync with the video, please use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to fast forward or rewind the audio to get it perfectly in sync with the video. Thanks.

Not worth the annoying commercials :(

I’m with everyone else’s reviews lately. Also the volume is horrible. The commercials are on level 10. Your Tunity app is on level 4 and you can’t adjust it. You need headphones or no one else can hear it and I was solo in a bar and had trouble hearing it. Having to pay monthly for this is a deal killer for me. I mean yea I guess you gotta make some money somehow but I timed it on Saturday during the gator game and it cut off the game sound every 10 mins to watch some stupid irrelevant commercial. Why every 10 minutes? And why not make it during a tv timeout commercial. I was literally cut off 19 times during the game to the annoying “bring the app up front to watch a commercial”. Way too many commercials for sporting events. The person sitting next to me was trying to enjoy the game and got agitated over it also. It was also out of synch all game as well. Had to keep adjusting it over and over. I referred in 5 people last year but I’m not referring anyone else because it’s just too annoying now and not paying for it. You should come up with another commercial schedule like when the tv goes to a commercial break... not in the middle of gameplay. Also in the past I had it running in background with phone in standby mode using hardly any battery life , and now it kills my battery because of all the commercials in front. I didn’t get to listen to whole game. Battery died 3rd quarter. Uggh.

Thanks for your feedback, Cpf Stifler. There are ads after the first 90 seconds of audio and every 10 minutes after that. You can upgrade to Tunity Pro for $3.99/month to get rid of all the ads. Should you want to explore upgrading to Tunity Pro, your first week is free and you can cancel any time. Thanks again for your feedback.

Why didn’t I think of this

For years I’ve been had the problem of not being able to hear the TVs at bars. I’ve asked the bartenders to turn the volume on a TV and they always said no. Other than sporting events, what’s the point in having the TVs on then? I’d still like to hear the announcers for sporting events but at least I can see what’s happening. That’s not the case for anything else. Even the news I can only see the “Breaking News” bar but have no idea what the anchors are saying. Some bars have TV shows and even movies on - why? What’s the point? And don’t even get me started on closed captioning. It’s so delayed and there’s no point in trying to follow it.

Because of Tunity, now people can actually know what’s going on on the TV. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt as if I had to because of how often I use Tunity. Great customer service too. I reached out one time to ask a question and they were very prompt with their response. It’s one of those thing where it makes you think, “Why didn’t I think of that?” I wish I had , but it doesn’t matter - as long as I have it now.
