Does not connect to router

Ever since the latest iOS update this app does not work. I hope the developer will be updating it soon because it was pretty useful before. It appears that the app needs to ask for Bluetooth permissions with doesn’t do so with iOS 14. When will the developer fix this?

I have tried the solution the developer suggests and it does not work. If I reset the router will it delete my password? If I merely turn it off and on again can I keep the password and start the onboarding process that way?

Many other complaints about this lackluster app in the App Store.

Hi,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try the following steps: -
1. Uninstall the app from phone
2.. Reinstall the app from AppStore
3. Connect to mAX Wi-Fi network locally
4. Open the app and allow the application to use location when prompted by OS
5. Sign in with the email ID to onboard the mAX unit earlier
6. Enter OTP to reach home screen.

Great hardware, poor software

Amazing speed and range hampered by the worst setup experience of any product I own. Developers tried to “simplify” the setup process by automating everything and locking everything down. If you have a moderately common setup, like a static IP without DHCP, the device simply won’t connect to the internet and the app won’t allow you to input the IP and subnet information. The only workaround is to use a competitors product between my fiber ONT and the router, adding lag to my gigabit synchronous connection. The latest firmware update results in the dreaded red ring, necessitating multiple reboots daily, involving turning the cylinder over and physically unplugging the unit. I really wanted to love the product, but I have never had a product this difficult to setup, difficult to maintain, and difficult to keep connected. This device is tremendously fast when it works - with 2-3 gig connectivity at distance from hub to hub. However, offerings from Netgear, linksys, were, and just about anyone else would probably be best if you need consistent connectivity.

Wish I had more control of my system

Arris / Motorola / Commscope if you read your reviews please read mine. This is an amazing system but the ability to control the system is horrible. We should be able to set the network to WiFi 6 only mode, turn on and off 2g manage speeds on guest networks and more this is a 600$ device it should do more. The application should also be more stable, and the servers to manage devices away from home should be stable enough to smoothly work without any issues. I have used TP link , and Netgear and both don’t have issues with OOH management or applications that are so slow you want to throw your phone. Please add more reliability to the application and server and more functionality. If you do I promise you will have a killer product.
