The SURFboard Central app is designed to get the most out of your SURFboard device. Now supporting all our Cable Modem, Cable Gateways (Modem with integrated Wi-Fi) and mAX Mesh router devices.

SURFboard mAX products combine the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology with a tri-band design to deliver whole-home Wi-Fi coverage with broadband speeds. With a dedicated 4x4 multi-Gigabit band to link mesh units, you get the speeds you pay for!
After the initial setup, SURFboard Central is your network’s control room, where you can securely and easily manage your advanced system settings.

Most buggy and useless app

This is first time I will be throwing a hardware device(router) because of worst app experience. I was forced to upgrade my current app, surfboard to surfboard central. Surfboard app was also buggy but was atleast working, new app doesn’t work at all. I don’t understand the logic of forcing users to migrate to new app when you still have so much complains about app. I spends hours and days and tried to get it working and even tried factory reset multiple times. Couple of times, app connected successfully to router but very next day, I have to repeat the process again. I can not even control the internet to specific devices with new app as I don’t see any user profile options that is mentioned is their documentation so Forget about parental controls through app. When app was connected luckily for couple of hours, the only use of app is to see connected devices with 80% as unknown. I am really frustrated and trashing my 6 months old router and will add little bit more money towards net gear or linksys router. Atleast, I don’t want to use use any product from a company who don’t care about the customers. I am sorry to say though even college undergraduates can develop better app with proper testing. So much surprised that a company like Arris released this app without proper testing. Never gonna use any arris products in future

Great hardware, poor software

Amazing speed and range hampered by the worst setup experience of any product I own. Developers tried to “simplify” the setup process by automating everything and locking everything down. If you have a moderately common setup, like a static IP without DHCP, the device simply won’t connect to the internet and the app won’t allow you to input the IP and subnet information. The only workaround is to use a competitors product between my fiber ONT and the router, adding lag to my gigabit synchronous connection. The latest firmware update results in the dreaded red ring, necessitating multiple reboots daily, involving turning the cylinder over and physically unplugging the unit. I really wanted to love the product, but I have never had a product this difficult to setup, difficult to maintain, and difficult to keep connected. This device is tremendously fast when it works - with 2-3 gig connectivity at distance from hub to hub. However, offerings from Netgear, linksys, were, and just about anyone else would probably be best if you need consistent connectivity.

wish it was a IPad App ,

Just got my Modem

Just received my modem connected to my Internet and my server no problem . went to use the app because since I’m using my own modem now they can’t help me with any of my passwords or usernames or any of that
go through the whole process of the steps that they say to take and I get a little thumbs up sign every time until it’s time to register which is the last thing and it tells me there’s a connective issue and will not let me move beyond that and gives me error codes and says to contact customer service which I did and then I was told to wait 24 hours. What’s up with that? This is not acceptable and truly I don’t understand how difficult it is to just get through the beginning steps of the app so that you can then use the app to do parental Controls, speed testing password changing etc. This is not acceptable and truly I don’t understand how difficult it is to just get through the beginning steps so you can actually use the app
