Julian day, Zulu time, and military dates - on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Home & Lock Screen widgets, historical lookup, and eight service themes.
It's as simple as it gets, a Julian date and clock app built for people who need the numbers fast.
Julian Clock shows everything you need at a glance:
• Julian date (YJJJ or YYDDD, your choice in Settings)
• Local time with running seconds
• Date in military format (e.g. 19JUN26)
• Day of the week
• Zulu time (GMT)
New in version 2
• Home Screen widgets — small and medium layouts with Julian date, Zulu, and military date
• Lock Screen widgets — circular, rectangular, and inline at-a-glance views
• Apple Watch app — Julian date and Zulu on your wrist, plus complications
• iPad support — universal layout for desk and EFB use
• Historical lookup — pick any date on the calendar to get its Julian day
• Eight themes — Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, Dark, and Light
Widgets and the Watch app stay in sync with your format and theme choices.
This app is for military and DOD personnel who constantly need a quick look at the Julian date and/or Zulu time, on the phone, on the lock screen, on the watch, or on an iPad beside the job.
Overall: 10/10This app is great for anyone who needs the Julian date or time, even down to the second. I use this app all the time for my job. It’s simple, user friendly, and has been reliable every time. Definitely worth spending the small price you pay for a world of ease. Only thing that would make this app better would be to add a widget so personnel can add it to their Lock Screen or Home Screen instead of having to open the app every time you need it.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for being a loyal user, reviews like this mean a lot! Great news: a widget for the Lock Screen and Home Screen is exactly what we're working on for the next update. Stay tuned, it's coming soon!
Perfect!

I was originally looking for an app that displayed the current Julian day on the app icon like the regular calendar, but was having no luck. This one works great and quickly opens to show all the Julian day information and is in military format which is great. It updates daily without having to select anything.
Developer Response
Thank you! Unfortunately Apple doesn't allow independent app developers to have dynamic icons like Apple Clock icon, so I have to settle for creating a fast and simple display screen instead :)
Excellent

Worked great when I was in the military, and private sector when I needed the Julian Date.
