UPDATE:This is an update because the incessant advertising is now able to be dismissed. I had to do it three times, one for each of my homes. Now that I’ve dismissed the full page advertisement for “free” extended warranty that actually costs $4.99 per month, it seems to be staying away. The app is usable again. Thank you Sensibo for resolving this. I am left with mixed feelings about Sensibo now, because of both their advertising technique, which broke the app, and because advertising a “free” thing that actually is a monthly subscription seems deceptive. I was actually considering buying the subscription, but I was waiting for full Gree ac support from the Sensibo sky (the Sensibo air already fully supports Gree) before subscribing. Now I won’t subscribe because of this experience with their advertising basically breaking the app. In a week or two,If the advertising doesn’t come back, I will return to this review and update it again. ————This perfectly good product and app has stopped being functional because there is a full page advertisement for EACH HOME, whenever I open the app or even when I switch homes. There is no way to clear the advertisement. My air conditioners are hidden below the advertising. I have contacted Sensibo support and not received a response. The app is almost unusable now and I have paid for 10 Sensibo units. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want an extended Sensibo warranty. And I don’t want to pay a subscription. It is unjust to retroactively ruin a product that I have already paid for with an app update with unending advertising
Developer Response
Thank you for updating your review and the continued feedback. We’re glad the advertising issue has been resolved and we apologize for the frustration it caused. Your feedback about the subscription advertising and Gree AC support is valuable, and we’ll share it with our team. If you have further suggestions or concerns, feel free to reach out.
Reliable and simple to set up

These things are great. I have two for Mitsubishi units without the internal connector for the Kumo Cloud remote. I thought I was stuck, my other Mitsubishi units are on Kumo but for these remaining two that was not an option.Like I said easy to install: plug in 5V USB adapter for power, place near enough so AC unit can “see” the module through its existing remote control sensor, Download the app and connect to local WiFi and you’re ready. I had some issues with one unit reverting to Celsius units after setting for Fahrenheit in the app but there was never a problem with control functions. Customer service worked with me by email with various suggestions to correct this issue and found one that worked. Customer Service from this company is excellent, they responded within 1 day, provided meaningful suggestions, tried new approaches when first suggestions didn’t work and stayed interested until the problem was solved. Now these are more stable than the Kumo and with more control options. The Kumo drops off of my WiFi system occasionally and stays “out of touch” until it connects again. These modules have never dropped out even though they are farther from the router. Great system!
2 degrees at a time, missing features in HomeKit

Well, I purchased 5 Sensibo Airs to integrate my home LG mini split heat pump system with HomeKit. Set up was easy and I can now use Siri and HomeKit automations to execute some basic commands on my heating and cooling system. While many controls such as turning on/off the dry/dehumidify mode and turning on/off the head unit LED display (for sleeping), etc. are available in the Sensibo app, these are not controllable from HomeKit/Siri/Shortcuts. I want to be able to set up Home automations where, for example, if the room humidity is above X, switch to Dry Mode. Or, at 9:00PM turn off the head unit LED display (light). Perhaps this is If Sensibo made all system controls available to HomeKit, that would be super. The light control especially! When my Good Night scene is set I want my heat pump head lights off please! Also, for some unknown reason, I can only adjust the temperature on each head unit by 2 degrees at a time. Example: 68°>70°>72°. Within this range, setting the temperature to 67°, 69°, or 71° just isn’t possible. I have to get the IR remote out or launch the LG Thinq app to set an odd temperature? While you can set up automations in the Sesibo app, you can’t control one setting at a time. In a Sensibo automation you must set the whole “state” of a unit including heat/cool/dry mode, target temp., fan speed, swing, and light on/off. What if I just want to schedulethe light to go off at 9PM and let HomeKit manage the temp? Not possible, unfortunately. If the developers can fix these things, it’d be an instant 5 stars from me.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the temperature range, this sounds like the remote profile we initially detected is not a perfect match but this can certainly be adjusted for you. Regarding Homekit integration, we don't precisely select what features are available but we can request that these functions be added. Kindly reach out to us at support@sensibo.com and we will see what we can do.
Sensibo is a bank account life saver!

We live in Northwestern Costa Rica where it is HOT year round. Central air conditioning is not a thing here and all buildings that are air conditioned have mini split units. These are fine because if a unit goes down it means just that room is down until you can get it fixed. The downside to these units is that there is no way to have a temperature based auto on/off like with a thermostat so at night you go to bed and wake up freezing then turn it off and wake up a while later sweating from heat or the AC just runs all night long. We have 4 sensibo units in our home (1 for each AC unit) and 2 in our business. We use the climate react feature to set an upper end limit to switch the unit on in a given room and a lower end limit to switch the unit off. We sleep better at home and when we are busy at work it keeps the temperature comfortable for our clients without any attention from us. Maintaining a temperature range means the ac units aren’t running as much and our bank accounts have noticed - can’t recommend enough!
- Energy and cost tracking feature. Track live kWH usage, calculate estimated costs and save energy
- Improved design for the "Weather & Pollution" feature
- Bug fixes & geofencing improvements
- Timer/Auto off widget redesigned
- Added Pure Boost & Explore pages for Air PRO
- Device owners can set temperature restrictions and lock controls for shared users, reducing energy waste
