My apartment made us switch to this app instead of a key fob to open up the gate into the parking garage. Would be super helpful and cool to be able to open the gate using the screen on the the car instead of having to pull out your phone and open the app. 🤞🏻

There's no way this is taken
One of the most useful features in the app was removed. Please bring back the parking available notification setting. Many people in my command relied on this setting to move their cars from areas that are potential tow or ticket areas to the employee parking lot but the removal of this setting has made it very difficult to know when spaces come available during a busy workday when we can’t just sit there and watch the app for availability. Please add back.

Our organization manages over 300 parking spaces, and unfortunately, Parkable has proven unable to handle this volume. What began as a responsive app quickly became sluggish and unreliable once scaled. Since its expansion into the U.S. market, updates to space availability lag significantly, and system responsiveness has deteriorated. As a government organization, we entered into a contract expecting scalable performance—we wish we’d known about these limitations beforehand. If you’re operating at scale, especially in a high-accountability environment, this platform may not meet your needs.

I just want to pay for parking but this app stands in the way, why does it need my phone number, email and credit card just to reserve a free spot in a garage that doesn’t charge for parking? It doesn’t use any of the standard iOS features that make apps easy to use and has no respect for my privacy. I’ll walk further to use another parking lot that prevents me from suffering this app.

Oh no! Those are valid questions! We require your phone number in the off chance that the garage owner needs to get into contact with you. We also ask for your email address in order to give you access to specific parking garages not available to the general public. Neither your phone number or email address is shared with anyone outside of Parkable, except the garage owner as outlined. As for the credit card, this is information that is stored through Stripe our secure billing partner. We do not have access to this data ourselves! We need billing details in order to protect our parking garage hosts that do charge for parking, to ensure they receive fair compensation for sharing their parking space with parkers like you. Hope that addresses your questions and concerns!

This release focused on fixing a few issues, including to do with the order of buttons in the 'Open gate' modal.
