In Your Face automatically updates on new calendar events or when an event changes.

You Really Have to Work to Miss Meetings with This One

Sometimes you miss calendar notifications. At the 10 minute alert before a meeting, you are faced with jumping on really early, or waiting and potentially being late to a meeting because you missed the second notification because you are wrapped up in, oh, let's say a really interesting spreadsheet. InYourFace makes sure you don't have to wait in the virtual lobby for what feels like ages OR miss that snoozed alert and scramble to be late because (once again speaking theoretically and NOY from personal experience) you were rapt with a cool research project.
I would give this five stars once they get a handle on consistency with multi-screen. I have three (laptop and two external) and it varies where that warning lands. You can, however, make it be on ALL screens at once.

Hi! Thank you very much for your review. The reminder is displayed on the currently active screen, i.e. the screen with the currently active window. Therefore it can vary where you actually see it.

I hate ths app... I makes me on time for my meetings

No seriously, I love this app - I used to always be late to my meetings because I would get hyperfocsed with other tasks. Now with In your Face, it breaks into my work flow so I know a meeting is about to start.

My one wish for improvment would be that it would also take the meetings notes from calendar event and show on the pop up screen. Many of my meetings are URL based (webex) and it would be great if I could just click the link and open the URL from the screen rather than going into the calendar app.

Nice, but MUST ALWAYS HAVE latest macOS to work

I use this personally, and for work. I use Google Calendars for all my personal stuff. At work, we're also on Google Suite. I have everything pushed into Mac Calendar and all the authorizations are in place. It works great until a new version of macOS is released. After that point, it still works... but ONLY for new events and events that haven't changed.

This app worked great for a while, but stopped updating based on changes to events after Catalina was released. Schedules change, so... if the alerts aren't accurate then the app is unreliable. Notified developer and he says it's Apple's fault. Doesn't really matter who's fault it is, I can't rely on it to alert me to meetings.

Updated to Catalina and it worked. Big Sur was released, and it stopped working. Updated to Big Sur, and all was good again... until Monterrey was released. The cycle repeats, and is VERY VERY ANNOYING because I feel forced to upgrade even when it will screw something else up. 🙁

BOTTOM LINE: Great as long as you don't mind being forced to keep up with all upgrades (not just the "updates"... but the "upgrades" too!)

Developer Response ,

There have been many update since you wrote your review. Is this still happening? If you stopped using the app because of those issues I'd be happy if you would give it another chance!
