Jazz Disk Bench is a cross platform application for accurately measuring performance of the storage. Both sequential and random read write is supported. It also support 2-100GB stress test and external storage test. BenchMark Description: 1. Sequential Test. Reading or writing 16MB data sequentially. Reflect the speed when copy large files. 2. Random Test. Reading or writing 4 KB blocks in a random location. Random IO play an important role in performance of your device. The slower random performance, the more possibility of lag. 3. Stress Test. Writing large data(2-100GB, depends on the setting) sequentially to storage. Can test the stability of storage, and measure the native speed of disk when cache is used up. Note: When test external storage, please make sure the storage is writable and connection cable is stable.

Cheap basic program, would like more configurability

The app tests sequential and random read/write as expected. With modern SSDs and their complex caching schemes, it would be nice to have more configurability in this app: >10GB sequential R/W, configurable queue depth for random R/W, some sort of reporting on the Brand/Vendor/type of SSD that is in the device.

Useless. Not even worth a dollar

The lite version of this app does a quick benchmark speed test of the internal SSD.So I purchased the pro version for a dollar because it supposedly does a speed test of my external SSD.But it does not do this. The app itself is horribly designed and just doesn't make sense. On the settings tab I can select an external. However, there is no way I can actually test this drive.This app is useless. You get what you pay for. Except in this case it's not even worth a dollar.Just stick with the light version if you want to test the internal SSD speed.

Thanks for the feedback. After selecting external drive, you can go back to the benchmark tab to test the selected drive. We’ll consider a better design to make this more intuitive.

Thanks for the feedback. After selecting external drive, you can go back to the benchmark tab to test the selected drive. We’ll consider a better design to make this more intuitive.
