Overall, a great timer app for meditating. I especially like the preparation time feature that gives you a chance to put the phone down and get comfortable before beginning. My only complaint is the relatively low volume of the chimes and bells - even with the volume turned up all the way, I can barely hear it. And it's hard to use it for group meditation because oc that. But otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

UPDATE: Disappointed in your icon change to the tacky sparkly pink background! The original was sophisticated--bring it back!!! Original message: With the new option to purchase ALL 6 gorgeous bell tones (preview them by tapping the bottom lefthand color block, then pressing & holding any one of the 4 preset options) for only $2.99...(or 1@.99) ...it's now sheer perfection for keeping track of one's various meditation practices, breathing exercises, holding yoga poses, & even timing art projects. It could also be a wonderfully handy & very soothing tool to use for a small cranky child's time-out period..... :-)And I love that I can easily set up & change my own preset modes for different usages & meditations. This app is wonderful. If you've ever had trouble meditating because you keep breaking focus every time you look at the clock, or because you feel too corny actually going out and buying meditation bells, or because you're always on the go, this app is right for you. With a sleek interface and beautiful variety of chimes to start and end each session with, this app brings the ancient art of meditation into the 21st century. The best part by far is getting to track your meditation stats like you would a workout. This app couldn't be better.

I've been meditating for years, but like most things if you loose your routine and fall out of practice your 'muscles' fatigue quicker than you'd like. To build up strength (in this case 'time') a tool like this is very helpful. Knowing that someone else is keeping track of the time allows you to free your mind from any concern of it, and with the interval timer you can build up your practice to a length that comfortable fits into your day.I have a ton of Apps on this phone, but rarely do they all get regular use. This one does... I highly recommended it.
