The MSUES Cattle Calculator allows beef cattle producers to make quick everyday calculations important for their operations. Calculations related to reproductive management, animal performance, and management decisions are available. Reproductive calculations include: calving date based on a known breeding date, breeding date based on a known calving date, number of days pregnant based on today's date and a breeding date, and a breeding season calculator which provides calving and breeding dates based on a set breeding season. Animal performance calculations include: Adjusted birth weight, weaning weight, and yearling weight, average daily gain and required gain. Management calculation include: dosage calculations for dewormers and medicines given an animal weight and manufacturer's recommended dosage, frame score calculations, trailer stocking density, and yield grade.

Great app one error

I find this app simple and very useful. There is one error though. The Calving Date Calculator is mislabeled. The variable data should be labeled “Select a Desired Breeding Date”. The current version says calving date, which is the correct label for the Breeding Date Calculator.

May not work for little cows

Little Cows
If I put in 50 pound calf and 2 years, I get an Adjusted Calving Weight of 110 pounds. (Should be 58). Likewise, 40 pounds and 2 years gives me 100 pounds (should be 48).I am having a hard time with the smaller frame scores, too. An animal may have a frame score of -1.5, but I increase his age and it jumps to 80.

I really like the app for a quick reference. However the adjusted birthweight and adjusted weaning weight. It tells me I must select a date after the birthdate every time I try it. For example: I but a birthdate of 5/14/2022 and a weaning date of 11/1/2022 and it says I have to enter a weaning date that is after the birthdate. Which it already is.
