This app and the switches it allegedly operates are garbage. I have an eero network and apparently the switches and the app can’t talk to each other on these networks, even when the device you’re using is on the 2.4Ghz band, so the switches can’t connect to WiFi, or my phone, or Alexa. How does this app even work, anyway? There is never a step in the installation process where the switch connects directly to my phone. How can the device learn the WiFi login credentials if it doesn’t connect to my phone first? Is it talking to my phone via Bluetooth? Maybe if they made all this more explicit, we could troubleshoot the absurdly frustrating install process. As it is, I’ve got two stupid switches with blinking blue lights that can’t connect to my phone or my network, and I have no idea why. The support for this product online is a joke. Lowe’s should be ashamed to sell these switches.

I bought 2 of the Bluetooth wall plug ins 6 months ago and they worked great with the app and were so easy to set up. I then went and bought two more. I was able to set up and pair with the app in no time, like no more than 5 minutes for each plug in. I’ve read a lot of the reviews here but cannot relate to any of the problems others may have had. These are not complicated devises to set up. I took a couple out of state trips up North, and I was able to turn my lights on and off. I have a Bluetooth camera at home and was able to watch the lights turn on and off just as if I were there in my house. I wasn’t sure if it would work being more than 1350 miles away, they worked great! I was able to program each GE plug in to what ever time I wanted. I now use the dawn to dusk option on the app. I never come home to a dark house anymore. I highly recommend this product to anyone. Kudos to the app developers! So easy to use and set up. Maybe because I don’t use Alexa I did not encounter the problems others have shared.

After getting each unit to sink up with the proper WiFi I love them. However it was not an easy task on any one of the Four that I have. I finally found the exact spot outdoors to synchronize them to my phone after the Third unit. I have a dual router which made it a problem but I think most people have both types of WiFi. I need to stand on the north east corner of my house on the outside facing the house and not with my back to the house. The firm ware update was another thing. A few directions would have helped. It wasn’t until about the fifth try that I noticed that you could only do one of the plugs or switches at a time. The two screens looked a lot alike so I only was looking at the update button which didn’t turn hot until I tapped on only one of the items. Oh well. All is now fine and I love the products now that they all work. Thanks for a great product. I am tech savvy. How do the ordinary folks get these items hooked up?

We have a cottage about 400 miles away that we only use occasionally during the winter for snowmobiling. We had a simple plug that you could turn the furnace off and on that was connected through the landline. After 20 years, it quit working. Everything that I could find wanted to either control the entire house or would only adjust the thermostat up or down, not turning he furnace off and on. This product was simple to install-plug into outlet and then plus furnace into box-and the app seems to work from any location. Had the second test run last week. Turned on the furnace when I was leaving home and it was on 6hours later when I arrived. Everyone is doing their happy dance because there will now be heat upon arrival when the snow is three feet deep. I would totally recommend this product if only for its price point and its simplicity.
