myTouchSmart Remote Contro‪l‬ 4+

Apparently is good only for Bluetooth related equipment...

I would give this 0 stars, but 1 is the lowest. I purchased a 6 device universal remote that needs this app. Apparently the remote needs a firmware update from v34 to v37, but this app fails every single time to update the firmware. I have tried dozens of times and as many different ways to go about this, but nothing works.

I have tried to mainly set up 1 device with this, a Samsung Smart TV that sadly finally broke its remote, but I am unable to do so even manually trying to enter the codes. Not to mention the remote is supposed to be pre-programmed to work with Samsung Smart TVs, because most don’t for some reason, but even with the manual codes I still get the “you can’t do that without a Samsung Smart remote” error.

Anyone have a similar experience or a fix or workaround to get this working? This is the 3rd remote ordered and none will control the smart functions of the TV.

The myTouchSmart Remote Control app is very easy to use. It makes it very easy to m program the Philips Bluetooth remote control. This app walks you through the steps and it’s so simple to use. Didn’t even have to create an account to use. Set up took about 3 minutes and then you’re ready to use. The app has a “find my remote” function that comes in handy cause the kids are always misplacing it, the app sends a signal to the remote and it beeps so you know where it is. When I buy more remotes I’ll be able to set them up in the app because you can program and pair multiple remotes in the app. It’s a great app and I highly recommend it.
