This game is great and I really want to give it 5 stars. But sometimes the camera just decides to move on its own to show you you’ve completed a level, even as you’re clearly growing a tree to go for a bonus challenge. This “feature” has killed my trees dozens of times. If the developer adds a setting that turns off automatic camera movement, it’d be an easy 5 stars.

This game is amazing. Just by the start of this review, some of y’all reading this might think it’s spam, it’s not. I pre-downloaded this game so I could see what it was all about. Just the first chapter had me HOOKED. It took me only 5 hours to finish the game. By the end of the game, I was in tears, not only because it was over, but, because it has a silent storyline that speaks volumes. In my opinion, Prune isn’t just a game about trees, it’s a game that shows just how we are destroying our planet. Once you finish the game, reread my review, and I guarantee, you’ll agree. Huge props to the developers, because this is one of the best games I’ve played since Apple Arcade came out. While this game looks easy, I’ll tell you first hand, the further you get, the harder the levels get. For a mobile game, it has great physics and great graphics, especially considering I was playing it on my iPhone 11 Pro. It runs like a breeze and will only lag if you’re on less than 10% battery not connected to a charger. I would highly recommend this game, especially if you love puzzles, and even if you don’t, you’ll still get a kick out of this game. A great deal of gratitude go to the team behind this game, because it’s definitely one of a kind, and I could play it 5 times over. Now this review is getting pretty long, so I’m going to wrap it up. I wood end it with a tree pun, but Elm totally stumped.

I’m usually into really hard/fast word games, or fast and/or complex legit puzzle games… I can’t remember how this game came across my search, but the aesthetic and mysterious look of it is what grabbed me and had me download it. Boy, this game didn’t disappoint! It’s a bit different and it took me a little getting used to, but I absolutely LOVE this game! The cherry on top is that you get a great screenshot of your bloom at the end of each level, if you choose to take one. I’ve used a couple as my iPad wallpaper bc it has an abstract look with neutral colors with simplicity to boot! If you’re looking for something fun, relaxing and unique/different, I recommend downloading this game and giving it a shot! 🩶

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I simply need to talk about this game. I’ve never gotten through a game so quickly and been so disappointed that I’d already reached the end, after about an hour of play. Prune has the simple strategy of other puzzle games, but tells a fantastical story behind the scenes. The “protagonist” is nameless but identifiable in our everyday lives. Prune takes you through the story of the trees which once only had to battle other natural conditions to fight for light. You can see the beginnings of industry and the trees’ concern only for survival, and at last their sabotage of and battle against the world that stopped caring for what gives it life to begin with.
