RØDE Central is an easy-to-use mobile companion app for compatible RØDE microphones that allows you to configure your device settings anywhere, unlock advanced features and processing, access device information, and update to the latest firmware. No Rode Central App for MacBook

I downloaded the Rode Central App on my phone right after I received my microphones and it told me I had to update firmware of my microphone on a desktop. I then went on my laptop, connected the microphone only to find that I’m not able to download the app. That’s it’s only for iPhone or IPad. I paid good money for these headphones and now I can’t fully utilize their capabilities… please help. Thanks.

You need an app for laptops. I give my mic to my instructor to use during lectures. I use my tablet at the same time for other things.

It's been problem after problem trying to get the Rode app to work. Finally got the Wireless ME connected, had to update, then watched it cycle endlessly for nearly half an hour before giving up.They suggested using their desktop app (macOS). First attempt the install failed. Second attempt it ran, but the Wireless ME never connected. Product is new, using their provided cables. Still unable to control mic settings.I'm quite shocked with how hellish it's been just trying to increase the volume on this mic.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There should not be this many obstacles to make a product work.

I was looking enough to connect with Ryan from road when I had some difficulty. That only did he send me a video to illustrate a task that I needed to execute,He also walked me through testing the various cords that I had to figure out which one would work for my needs. What we discovered was a cord that I had purchased from B&H was faulty. This realization allowed me to return a couple of other cars that I thought out of abundance of caution I would purchase to make sure I had what I needed for my equipment to work. In the process of working with Ryan, and I learned about the equipment and how to use it most effectively. I am a 1988 US Olympian and I mention that because I have traveled around the world. The thing that has always distinguished the good from the great in my eye is services. Be it in restaurants, stores, or at venues, The thing that separates the good from the great is the people. People make the company or the service what it is. Ryan exemplified stellar customer service. He never made me feel dumb for not understanding how the technology worked. He was so patient, kind, and professional. I hope Rode leadership sees this review and acknowledges/rewards Ryan for his stellar customer service. They have a gem in him.
