Description
RØDE Central is an easy-to-use mobile companion app for compatible RØDE microphones that allows you to configure your device settings anywhere, unlock advanced features and processing, access device information, and update to the latest firmware.
Note: You will need to use an MFi-certified Lightning Accessory cable such as the RØDE SC15 or SC21 to connect your RØDE microphone to your smartphone. To access on-board recordings from the Wireless GO II, you will need to use the desktop version of the RØDE Central app.

Can't connect
I used to be able to get my microphones to connect to my phone. Not now. I know you have to have the special USB-C to lightning cable that costs a ridiculous amount of money in order to connect the road wireless go to your phone. What a pain and now it’s not working at all. I updated the firmware on my computer for all three devices and I still cannot connect to my phone. I’m not sure if I can connect. To anything at all?
After all this time of having road wireless products, I’m seriously considering getting some other kind of wireless set up with two microphones. It really pisses me off because it wasn’t cheap.
Rode People Make The Difference
I was looking enough to connect with Ryan from road when I had some difficulty. That only did he send me a video to illustrate a task that I needed to execute,He also walked me through testing the various cords that I had to figure out which one would work for my needs. What we discovered was a cord that I had purchased from B&H was faulty. This realization allowed me to return a couple of other cars that I thought out of abundance of caution I would purchase to make sure I had what I needed for my equipment to work. In the process of working with Ryan, and I learned about the equipment and how to use it most effectively.
I am a 1988 US Olympian and I mention that because I have traveled around the world. The thing that has always distinguished the good from the great in my eye is services. Be it in restaurants, stores, or at venues, The thing that separates the good from the great is the people. People make the company or the service what it is. Ryan exemplified stellar customer service. He never made me feel dumb for not understanding how the technology worked. He was so patient, kind, and professional.
I hope Rode leadership sees this review and acknowledges/rewards Ryan for his stellar customer service. They have a gem in him.
Totally frustrating
OK, first for the hardware issue: why is it that my USB-C cable (2 different cables) will connect the Røde Wireless Go II receiver with my iPhone 15 Pro but that same cable will not allow a connection between the Wireless Go II transmitters and my phone? Am I missing something? I know that Røde wants us to buy their cables but to buy a USB-C cable that is designed for one specific product and one specific use is nuts.
As to the app, I find the interface awkward and ill-designed for use on a mobile device. Surely someone could’ve designed the icons and explanations to be easier to use and read. There is plenty of unused real estate on my iPhone display and using this app in daylight is the pits.
Finally, why is it that I have to use my Mac to access recordings? I save recordings to my phone every day – just not with the Røde hardware and app.
