I have managed to pay for my subscription plus some with the extreme optionality Revolut offers. I make quick cash in the investment section rolled it over to a few vacation funds and made money with the left overs $700 worth in a few months plus their high yield interest account pays more than any other I know of probably higher out there but still when Apple offers 3.less than inflation APY 5% is at least keeping pace with inflation partially. Somehow, finally, my account was de-restricted. The service works well enough now, though the original problem still happened. Original:The most frustrating experience I have ever had interacting with a tech bank. I had Simple, and it was great. I have Mercury, and they are great. With Revolut, I cannot even accept a transfer from my long-established business bank account without jumping through silly hoops providing proof that the originating account is “authorized.” I already provided 10 years of my LLC’s registration filings (showing I am the owner), screenshots from my business bank account (showing the transfer in question), and other supporting documentation. They are asking to know details that go beyond any normal KYC requirements, like details that would include my customers’ transactions, our business purchases, and so on. Bizarre. Support speaks broken English and uses nonstandard terms randomly and ambiguously, like referring to the originating account as the “Donor” in some cases and as the “payer” and other terms in others, and other such problems. Every reply on the support ticket is a new person who speaks a different kind of broken, ambiguous English. (I have no problem with limited English skills and deal with other languages all the time, but ambiguous and ever-changing terminology is impossible to work with.) I am stuck in low-level support purgatory for something that should be trivial. The app itself is ... okay. It’s not awful and it mostly works, though it’s slow and bloated with uninteresting upsells and “helpful” offers and so on. This is not a bank account for grownups.
Extremely Glitchy Compared to TransferWise

How can you call yourselves a top-tier global payments fintech company when you’re unable to transfer my money into my bank account from my Revolut account balance. For 5 days now, the excuse has been that you’re having issues with your payment processor—a third party company. Why would you opt to initiate operation without ensuring the competency of your payment processing company—the backbone of any international bank transfer service? Furthermore, I cannot stand that the only way to get in touch is through the app’s live chat. I’ve had problems with the app preventing me from being able to login and use the chat function. There should be a phone number to speak to a customer service agent (such as is offered by TransferWise), but there is not. As a registered financial services company, you have an obligation to make my money accessible to me upon request. You’ve failed in this obligation to a remarkable extent. I will be using TransferWise instead of Revolut once I finally manage to get my monies cleared out of my account balance. Furthermore, the app is meant to provide account details (bank account numbers, etc) for currency accounts so you can transfer in funds using bank transfer rather than always having to rely on debit card top-ups. Rather, no currency accounts have account details provided. AVOID if ever want to see your money again after depositing. I don’t even know how this company is still permitted to operate and hasn’t been shut down by the financial conduct authority...
One of the absolute worst apps I ever used

I signed up for revolut more than half a year ago. I was trying to play with it and was trying to transfer $20 but it was telling me that a $20 was exceeding my limit. I reached out to customer service and of course they never bothered to respond. I think only about a month ago they were like ‘oopsies there was an error now you can use your account’. I attempted it recently and it kept failing my transfer saying that the address didn’t match my bank address. I went to my profile and changed my address and also tried to find if there was a way to update my address for the connected account specifically. That app is definitely not intuitive at all to navigate. After a while I gave up and just used apple pay. I reached out to their customer service through the chat again today. I was waiting in line for 3 hrs, and then even though I requested help for that particular error message, I was told to clarify, which meant I had to go back to my transfer history, which I did, and then lost my connection with that agent. Tried to reconnect several times, and their chat just does not even work anymore . It’s a blank page. I’m just tired at this point. Too many errors for something that should be very simple and seamless. Creating a literal bank account took less effort than whatever this is.
