You can purchase "Shadowmap Home" and "Shadowmap Studio" as monthly or yearly subscription. You can subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renew after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited if you purchase a subscription, where applicable. All subscriptions will renew at their respective cost.

I signed up for the 7 day free trial for the Pro version. The feature I wanted to try before purchasing was not available. I’m a gardener planning raised beds at home and community gardens. I need to know the shadows from buildings and trees throughout the growing season. The trial version does not allow me to check the accuracy, therefore I will not be purchasing the Pro or Lite versions. I’ve deleted the application from my device.

Hello, the date change feature is only available in Light or Pro subscriptions and not in the trial, as it is one of our key features which has high value for different planning use cases. We've had great feedback from several users that used Shadowmap for gardening.If you get Light, you can use the date slider for a whole year for only $14.99 (or Pro for one month for $9.99) in your work. We hope you understand!
Pretty bad app

The map itself is like a 2bit map making it completely blurry and unusable. The ui is clunky and outdated. Half the screen is the controls that you cannot collapse. There is always and upgrade button that never goes away even though I already upgraded and could not care less about the real estate features. Seems like this app was made in 2015 then never updated.

If you use an older device please also test the app on desktop in your browser under app.shadowmap.org with the same login. With your subscription you can also hide the UI in the settings. Premium Access Problem

I had high hopes for this app but there is no way to find out because I can’t get into the premium features. I tried to contact support but have not heard back from anyone. At this point the only recourse I have is to dispute the charge with my CC company.

Only app of its kind

I never - or virtually never - review an app. But I’m a photographer and this app deserves my five-star review. I must have tried a dozen apps to help me plan for landscape photos and make educated guesses about where and when the sun will hit. Sure, plenty of apps will tell you the timing and direction of a sunrise or sunset. And if you’re on location, plenty of apps offer augmented reality so you can view the arc of the sun. But this is THE ONLY app that will show you, with the slide of your finger, whether you will be in shadow or not. Think you’ll see the sunrise at 7:00 from that footbridge because your app said the timing and angle is right? Better make sure you’re not on the wrong side of a building. Or a billboard. Or a whole bloody ridge line. Better download this app and double check before you head out there.
