Beautiful free photos
Search over a million beautiful free high-res photos that you can save and use for anything. Every photo is licensed under the Unsplash License, which allows for both personal and commercial use, so you can focus on creating.
Drag and Drop
Unsplash takes advantage of drag and drop on iPad. Once you find a photo you want to use, drag it to any app that supports drag and drop, like Keynote, Pages, and Notes.
We also made it fun to download a photo to your Photo Library: just drag and drop it to the bottom left corner. This works on iPhone too.

We're pretty sure you'll like this new update. In fact, you might even say it's one for the books…an update to remember. We'll be sure to add it to our collection of big ol' milestones.
Any guesses from our not-so-subtle hints up there? Yes that's right, you can now like and collect photos!
Now before you go off on a liking and collecting spree, let's run through the basics. When you view a photo in full screen, press the heart button to like it, and press the plus-shaped button to collect it. Easy enough, right? On iPhone, you can also press and hold on a photo in any list of photos, and three buttons will show up so you can either like, collect, and download the photo (or all three!).
One thing to remember, you need to have an account to like and collect photos. But don't worry, you'll be prompted to sign up or log in when you try perform any of these new actions.
—— Version 1.6.2 ——
• Minor improvements.
—— Version 1.6.1 ——
• Fixed various issues with Dark Mode.
• Removed the Likes section from the Stats view. This has never been a relevant metric on Unsplash.
With new features come new quirks (issues), so don't hesitate to send your feedback at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Missing Something ?
Look, I like this app/site but I have noticed that on this app; when you’re logged in you can still access your likes and collections yet it is NOT possible to actually like/add photos to your collections? However on the website you can most definitely “like” photos yet for some bizarre reason it appears to only be possible to download images and not “like” them. I was hoping it would be addressed in the latest update, but alas it was not.
A Breath of Fresh Air!
In the sea of apps available today, it’s next to impossible to find anything useful that’s truly free. It is so frustrating to spend time and energy looking for useful tools, only to find out it’s ultimately going to cost you something. I think we’ve all become suspicious of everything that claims to be “free.” I’ve been using this app for months and have been pleasantly surprised to find Unsplash is truly free! I’ve been waiting to see if it’s going to cost me my time, sanity or worse with obnoxious ads and pop ups I can’t seem to avoid. I don’t know how they do it, but Unsplash has not cost me a thing and I have enjoyed so many amazing images from amazing artists! I am so pleasantly surprised! All they ask is to consider dropping a quick thank you to the artist if you download one of their images. There’s no bait and switch. Not even an expiring free trial period surprise, I still can’t believe it. I feel bad that I haven’t sent any messages of thanks so I’m writing this as a huge thank you to the creators of this app and it’s artists! Keep it up!
Love this app!!!
There are so many apps out there that say that they have “free pictures”, but in my personal experience they have some type of subscription. Not with this app! The simplicity is simply breathtaking, and all of the pictures are wonderfully shot. And, of course, everything is truly free. If you do use these pictures, please credit the photographer and Unsplash because this app is amazing. There are no obnoxious ads asking you to buy this or subscribe to that. The only thing I would want is to be able to like people’s pictures.
Definitely an 11/10.
