You can start creating right after download; with many ready-to-use preset items, you won’t need to create anything from scratch. You just need to pick items you like and adjust their parameters!

Face features, body shape, outfits — everything is customizable in infinite ways. Even first-time users can fully enjoy the application by picking preset items and playing around with the parameters’ sliders.

this application also gives you total freedom to express your originality, customizing minor features down to the finest detail.
■Design Textures with the Pen Tool
The texture editor supports stylus pens such as Apple pencils and is pressure-sensitive. You can also divide your design into more layers! Draw directly on the 3D model, or on the UV texture to see your creation display in real-time on the 3D preview.
■As easy as drawing on paper
Create new chunks of hair with a single stroke, and later edit them to your liking through the parameters. Hair is customizable in infinite ways, and you can set hair bounce individually for each hair chunk.
■Your models are yours to use freely
You can set your own terms of use for the data of every model, texture, item, etc you create on VRoid Studio, specifying if you give permission for commercial use, credits, etc.
■Create, Connect, Expand
You can upload models you created to VRoid Hub, letting the community view them and send their appreciation. Characters uploaded to VRoid Hub can also be called up in various integrated games and platforms!

It’s a fun app for customizing and creating OCs and whatnot. Once you get the hang of it, you can REALLY do things with it! Only real problem is the crashing bug. I thought it may have been my IPad except I’m seeing reviews of other people saying the same thing is happening to them. I like this app a lot but it’s so frustrating how much it crashes. I have certain characters I can’t even open up due to how much it just crashes. I’ve lost a lot of progress on things that left me heartbroken because of this. While I do eventually plan to build a PC, my iPad is all I have as of right now. If you could fix the crashing problem, this app would overall be good and I’d even rate it 5 stars. It’s 3 because of how much the crashing affects the experience and enjoyment. I spend every moment thinking “when is it gonna crash this time.” It’s annoying…
Very frustrating and disappointing

Ever since the iPad version of Vroid studio came out, I’ve been so super excited with the chance to not have to sit at my desk for hours making models. Despite what seemed like a promising app, I ran into too many issues and bugs that just overall lead to a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ve seemed to be plagued with issues that I had hoped maybe some updates would iron out, but as of yet I still get the same issues. From the app crashing from using the blur tool or to the now new issue that even prevents me from exporting my model as a vrm file and not allowing me to upload the model to vroid hub, thus frustratingly made me miss the opportunity of entering in for the Halloween contest. I had spent the last 8 days trying to get through the constant crashing issues, thinking that was my only issue, since I started all of my progress on the iPad version, because I really wanted to enter the contest. To only find out with the last remaining 10 minutes of the contest that I couldn’t even get the app to export my model because every time I tried it would crash, I have no idea why this is a issue, or why it had to happen to me right before I was to upload it for the contest, I closed every app and only had VRoid open, I had closed vroid studio to make refresh it just in case, my iPad storage has plenty of storage, and yet It would just keep crashing constantly anytime I tried to export my model. If anything I just feel frustrated and fed up with this app, sad that I couldn’t enter when I spent so much time on making my model.

Let me start off by saying I love VRoid studio. It can be a learning curve, but it has gotten a lot more beginner friendly! I used the PC version and that’s exactly what this is, just more accessible! I see reviews talking bout crashing, but honestly I have never experienced it (even after generating bones?!) but I do have a 2022 iPad Air! Now onto my problem, I make all of my own textures and usually everything is really chill, but tonight I noticed that whenever I would use the color white usually on a body suit or something similar, it wouldn’t be pure white, instead it would be a creamy color, basically pretty see through. This would be upsetting just because that isn’t what I am trying to achieve. Before you ask, yes I checked layer opacity both on VRoid and also on procreate. That wasn’t the issue. Just really weird, I hope it can be fixed in the next update :(.
Great but still has some problems

My friend MagentaPink showed off her character model and it got me interested so I wanted to make my own character model and it was going pretty smoothly until I realized that he needed his signature top hat & mask but it wasn’t possible until I had to buy these custom items from Booth. When I bought them, I tried to put import them into the app (both iPad & desktop) but it wouldn’t work. I looked up through articles and nothing seemed to work. Either it doesn’t work on Mac devices or it wasn’t well implemented. This is a massive shame because I was excited to see my character in 3D but I guess that dream won’t come true until I learn how to use Blender.Please rework Booth & Custom items.
