I think this app is great. Being able to control my Xenopixel lightsaber with my phone is so much easier than having to hold the button for whatever amount of time to change things. But it does have its problems. Sometimes when I try to connect my saber it immediately disconnects, also in the lightsaber mode settings 2-5 are all just standard mode even though it says “ghost mode” “blaster mode” and something else. And I can only select three different ignition modes. Hope this is fixed soon. The random disconnections are my only big problem with this app. The limited ignition modes is just a little irritating. I’d be happy to give five stars when it’s fixed

The app connects really easily and is easy to use. Very straightforward. I was even able to run a firmware update to the saber through the app! The color palette makes the “infinite color” function a lot easier (although it can take a minute to find the right color, the color on the screen may be a different shade than the actual blade lights show, but it’s easy to fix). The volume control is ridiculously good and I can test all of my sound fonts and customize the button controls, which is crazy. Overall works well. Bluetooth has a good range too ( maybe 6 feet)

I’ve messed with generations of lightsaber sound fonts and boards to customize as a hobby from Saberforge. The move to a Bluetooth-based app sounded great, but this app is extremely frustrating. Constantly disconnects/reconnects, limited functionality, etc. The poor Bluetooth quality and bugginess alone makes me lean toward ditching the app entirely. I’ll have a brand new saber right next to my phone, no other devices to interfere with Bluetooth, and it’ll just constantly connect and disconnect. Tried with another phone, won’t even recognize the saber. Another saber, same problems. Just going to ditch the app entirely at this point and use the onboard button-based settings.Good concept, horrible execution. Hopefully they improve it, because it’s part of why I opted for the electronics I did rather than a cheaper option.

I got this app expecting it to not work or barely work based on the reviews. This was not the case at all for me. In case this matters, my phone is an iPhone and my lightsaber is from Parsecsabers. It works really well, I can easily change the fonts, no problem with connecting (it even connects automatically!) and everything. All the extra settings (color-changing, flash on clash, tip dragging) can be found if you click on the saber bar at the top of the screen once it’s connected. Everything works great! So I give this app five stars.
