Ratings and Reviews
You would think to stay competitive with other supermarkets at the very least you could view Aldi’s entire product range on the app/website and be able to build yourself a shopping list and know the total cost of your shop before you go in. Their whole marketing platform is about comparing the prices and quality of their brands to name brands sold by major supermarkets yet you can’t even sit in the comfort of your own home and do your research and compare prices. I’m not asking for online shopping Aldi just the ability to easily search for your products on the app/website instead of having to go in and out of categories and be able to make a shopping list and compare prices/products.
So far behind the times
Download this app if you want to see special buys. If you want anything else useful you’ve come to the wrong place. It doesn’t hav any of the normal products they sell. It doesn’t show any of the prices of normal products. It has a shopping list feature which doesn’t populate any data and expects you to know the price of every product off hand. A notepad would be more useful. This is why I’ve moved to Coles and Woolworths. If Aldi spent less time caring about special buys which are so limited in stock to bring in customers instead of actually being up with the 21st century they might be competitive.
No frills products, no frills app
Aldi’s version of an ‘app’ isn’t much better than an updated paper catalogue...in fact with the paper catalogue you at least have the capacity to be able to turn the pages, review items thoroughly and you can cut out the specials and keep them aside. The app only works in an iPhone size portrait page, and you can mark an item to remind you but otherwise it’s pretty much the same as a catalogue, but less detailed pictures. It wouldn’t take a lot of fixing, but then you would want to have to fix it. Read the reviews. Apparently they don’t care? 🤷🏻♀️
