Good app, but recent update has connectivity issues

The app works well and is a must have if you own a Yamaha AV system.

The only problem has arisen with a recent update that now effects connectivity between my iPhone and the system. Often the app fails to identify the AV receiver which renders it unusable for controlling your system. This is only a recent issue as I’ve owned the system since April 2016 without any issues until recently.
Yamaha - please fix!

Bomb proof and well supported

I have had a yamaha rx-v483 for many years and the control app has basically been bomb proof for most of that time. Other amps such as my Denon avr-1713 worked ok but then they started getting sloppy with the denon app and functions started to be limited or not work properly (eg using the app to start playing a playlist and having it all stop after two or three tracks). Unlike other brands yamaha have kept supporting their older receivers while continuing to evolve their app. I like not having perfectly good receivers rendered obsolete by ditching support and so have just added an rx-v585 to my house to replace the denon one that isnt supported anymore.

Love it then 1 hr ago it will not connect or find amp.

Been using this since last yr on my fantastic Yamaha audio set up. Played 3 albums from iPhone today. Went to show a song. Now it shows a demo page which never seen it does not show up on air play in iTunes or Yamaha Av app. As if not there any more yet nothing has been changed?? It has just gone from all my iMac iPhone iPad MacBook Pro all in 15min of the end of a play list. I’m stumped maybe it updated some how. Yet it’s 2018 Yamaha amp that runs my 4K ultra HD BLUE RAY my Oleg 4K UHD Samsung 2019 tv and was going to plug Apple 4K box into it in a hr. Yet does not seem to maybe be even on the network or show in Bluetooth????
