IS BLOOM SECURE?
Your safety & security are our #1 priorities. All journaling entries are encrypted and saved in the cloud. Nothing is seen by humans. None of your training data is shared with third-parties or outside partners.

IS BLOOM EFFECTIVE?
The team at Bloom understand how helpful cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be for folks who need to improve their mental well being. We focus on teaching about CBT because outside research shows, again and again, that it the most effective form of therapy to improve mental well-being for the vast majority of folks who experience symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety or depression. Studies show that patients can get the benefits of learning CBT techniques without an in-person therapist. Bloom gives users the power to learn about mental health in a guided & self-directed way at their own pace.

DO NOT USE BLOOM IF....
CBT and digital options like Bloom aren't a fit for everybody. If you're suffering from severe depression or anxiety, Bloom education alone may not be the right choice for you. Bloom cannot and does not diagnose, only a medical provider can do that. If you are in need of a treatment plan, please seek care under the supervision of a medical professional. We are not a clinic, nor are we a medical device. We hope that you get the treatment you need.

WHEN SHOULD I USE CBT?
CBT can help people with depression by giving you tools to challenge the negative thoughts and override them with more realistic and positive thought processes. CBT is also used to help many more psychological problems. In some cases, other forms of therapy used at the same time may be recommended for best results.



DOES IT WORK FOR TRAUMA?
If you have been diagnosed with PTSD, your provider may have suggested CBT. But if you were diagnosed with cPTSD, your medical professional may prefer you to use a DBT program. At this time, Bloom does not offer DBT.

Awesome app

Love this app. While this doesn’t replace actual therapy, it’s still great. I got the free trail but after the first day I knew I’d pay for the full version despite it being expensive. I struggle with mental health but also struggle to find a psychologist I can both afford and like going to. I figured I had already got more out of this app than one real therapy session where I paid more than this app cost, so for me it was worth it. I would still require actual therapy for some hardcore things, but this gets me through most of my daily anxiety issues, and I have high anxiety. In the perfect world I would try to use this app regularly because practice makes perfect, but I find I mostly turn to it if I’m having a bad mental health day or something has triggered me to feel crappy, and I can just use this app to turn my day around and feel better. Love it. One of the few apps I’d pay for and I don’t regret it at all.
Some small app glitches like I get told I have a notification or message waiting for me but I can’t see it, or sometimes it forgets what I’ve completed or what I’d set up on my Home Screen favourites, but nothing too annoying.

Really grateful for this app :)

I’ve been using Bloom on and off for a year now and I find it particularly useful in between my weekly counselling sessions when I need some extra boost regarding situations affecting me. I also like that it is rooted in CBT which has been beneficial to me in counselling as well. I know it’s a bit pricey to subscribe but I personally find it worth it due to the accessibility it provides me when I can’t speak to someone or simply don’t have the energy to call up a mental health line and would rather just listen to someone speaking sense by inputting how I’m feeling on my phone. I feel like even if this app was completely free I’d want to donate if I could afford it just to keep it going and show support because of how incredibly helpful it’s been in my journey to recover and heal from what has been an awful year. A huge thank you to the developers of this app and not sure if they’re actors during sessions but they’re also doing a great job of showing empathy and validation through a phone screen!! :)

Love this!

Usually I don’t write reviews, however. I bought bloom a few months ago and have used it every day since and I have found it to be so so helpful. I have dealt with social anxiety for a number of years and getting onto this everyday has helped so much. Usually, I will meditate in the morning and then use bloom as my morning journal, gratitude list and then a 10min therapy session. And then a few others if I have time. Doing this every day really helps to implement techniques and to remember them. I love that you can choose different therapy sessions to suit whatever mood you’re in. If you’re reading this too, look up Ayurveda. This too has helped me so much, and there is still so much more to learn! Peace and love <3
