Calculator 4+

I use my phone in vertical screen mode only. Why should i have to unlock and turn to portrait mode?

It had to have a second usage option in vertical usage either.

Since iphone 4 still the same issue???

Had to delete this calculator app and download a much more efficient calculator app that actually does what I want it to do - act as a calculator - whereas this app never opened up to the calculator whenever i really needed it to quickly perform a calculation. Instead the developer is much more interested in bombarding you with advertising ALL THE TIME which is tedious, time-consuming, and NOT what i am interested in from a calculator app. I had to ALWAYS every time go through unwanted advertising and promotions before i could even get to the calculator! In addition there are numerous ongoing glitches with its format, size, and performance in general. I am soooo much happier with my new calculator app and do not miss the wasted time and frustration of trying to use this old fogey calculator whose developers care more about bashing you with more and more marketing than providing the service the app supposedly is meant to provide. There are other FREE calculator apps around that are much more user-friendly and efficient.

So far this app has functioned as promised. Admittedly I have only done some simple, on the fly, calculations.
I have never had the need to use the scientific functions, so I will leave that area to others who have.

I dropped two ‘stars’ in rating because
a) there is no display which shows the sequence of calculations currently underway.

b) there is no history of any calculations already performed, which could be referred to when working on a subject.

a) and b) are essentially identical, just minor differences in that a) shows the current calculations, whilst b) displays the last ‘nn’ history of calculations.

By way of example:
If I am working on something that requires, for arguments sake, 13 different inputs, and I am momentarily distracted, there is no visual feedback which shows the sequence of events/calculations inputs which have been performed prior to that distraction.
Without being 100% of where I was up to, the resulting answer from those calculations cannot, and should not, be relied upon.
The only recourse is to start again.

c) finally, even in ‘simple’ calc. mode there should be basic memory functions, ie, add to memory, recall from memory, clear current memory.
