Cashrewards: Cashback Rewards 4+

I was a little bit skeptical at first, as I had try something like this before and it’s just not that good. Sign up and didn’t really use it till recently, made a purchase around $130 bucks and they’ve got a 7% cash back on that retailer. I wasn’t expecting that much of a cash back honestly. Now, I know not all retailers have that high of percentage I was just lucky enough to encounter such a big one on my first purchase. But, I’ve gotta say that has got me hooked up with this cash rewards app. It’s just an easy way to “earn money” back slowly slowly. So far been having great experience, had one of the customers service to look up my missing $20 welcome gift, they explained why it got declined but they’re kindly enough to put it through my account (thank you Dee). I would say give it a try it won’t hurt you.

Love being able to get money back in my normal shopping. If you stay up on the sales, you’ll for sure rack up some big chunks of cashback. I’ve gotten nearly $1k in like 6 months of using it. I like the app design more than other cashback apps out there—it’s the right amount of info without giving you a headache trying to make heads or tails of what’s actually going on. And the in-store shopping is so easy. Just connect the card and you can shop without having to remember the rest. Bought something at vintage cellars and was pleasantly surprised to get a little kickback without even trying.

A terrible app and business idea.
It seems like this is version 1.0 of a company rollout with MUCH MUCH more to do to make it genuinely attractive.
Most deals are online only and the offers are confusing to say the least. Fine print overwhelmed the user given every deal has a set of rules and conditions! They say there are heaps of retailers but please read the fine print everyone! After three months and spending heaps on my card from big stores and small cafes, my balance is $0.70. My latest attempt to derive some value from this app was to try and buy a gift voucher from one of the largest food retailers in Australia after I saw the promise of a 5% discount. The marketing hooked me and I bit. Went through the process and at checkout it was discounted by 3%. I felt it was terribly misleading and there was zip fine print.
I’m astonished there are no many discounts for shopping in store. Surely the management of Cashrewards could negotiate a great deal!
This app doesn’t work for me because why would I want to buy online, save 2%, wait 130 days to get a few dollars and have to pay $15 delivery/postage costs just to get a few cents or dollars back?!? The economics doesn’t make sense unless. If you are an online shopper, this app might work for you.
Again, please read the fine print. To me it’s all hype and promise yet very few deals will ever suit me (and I’m a regular consumer).
Terrible and disappointing.

Hi Mick, I am sorry that cashback did not appeal to you. Cashrewards has over 800,000 Australians earning many hundreds or even throusands of dollars each year from this successful business model. Please note that we are using Version 2.0.15 and it has been many years since we had a version 1.0.0.
We have over 1,500 well recognised store participating and I am concerned that you may have linked your credit card for selected stores, then gone to stores that offer online cashback but not In-Store cashback. If you contact our member services team they can assist you with understanding the difference between In-store and online businesses.
In regard to Woolworths Gift Cards, the Terms that were written on the store page outlined the changes to the discount at that time which was determined by Woolworths and not Cashrewards. Unfortunately, just because a store is offering online cashback, does not mean they will honour anything In-Store as these are two separate methods of earning cashback. However, the In-store cashback option is unique to Cashrewards.
Many of our members take advantage of our regular bonus offers that provide $10, $20 and $30 for making a purchase on top of cashback of up to 25% in some cases.
