Command & Conquer: Legions unfolds in a universe where following the Third Tiberium War, the CABAL launches another assault on humanity with their cyborg army. Ratings and Reviews
Not quite what I expected
I sort of expected it to be more strategic and play like a real time cnc. It’s been done before. Basically state of survival with different graphics.
Meh
A game that is totally trading off its title to gather a built in audience. It’s far lost its roots and has blended in to the rest of the “mobile gaming, pay money to download stuff” landscape.
Just looks like any other mobile online strategy game and has an infuriating intro. “Tap here, then tap here, then tap on this!!”. You get lost in all the data overload that doesn’t even mean anything to you at the start, and it takes ages to even have the option to move the screen around! You literally have no control and it just shoves info down your throat.
I persevered with it for a while, but it is far from worthy of the Command and Conquer franchise. It’s just blended into the crowed and follows along instead of keeping to what made it great. Very disappointed. Will keep at it for a bit longer, but don’t see anything changing.
Such a great opportunity wasted
Command and conquer spawned a whole new genre of games. The game mechanics were unique and you could sit and play it for hours. This game is NOT that. They’ve taken the c&c name, and shoved it through the same sausage factory as every other mobile game. You constantly need to be monitoring your base because you’ve got to tap on a building to collect whatever has been made. To train a solider you’ve got to go three levels deep in menus. Not really worth playing if you want that nostalgia.
