This app is great in general. It pretty much does what it says on the box. The only feature they should add is the ability to separate message sections so that you could go back and look up a specific topic in the messaging side of the app. also an email feature would be great.
Actually really good
Kenneth_76
Actually really goodBeen using this for about 6 months now and honestly it's made things so much easier.. My ex and I weren't exactly on great terms when we split and trying to coordinate everything through text messages was doing my head in.The GPS thing for pickups has saved us from so many arguments. She can't say I was late anymore because it's all there in black and white lol. Same with the expenses - I just snap a photo of the receipt and upload it, done.I like that it's made by Australians too, has our school holidays already in there and everything just makes sense for how things work here. I tried one of those big American apps first and it was confusing af.Only thing is you both need to pay for it separately which is a bit annoying but it's not that expensive really. Worth it to have everything in one place instead of scattered across texts and emails and random bits of paper.Support is actually really good too. I emailed with a question and got a proper response back pretty quick, not just some copy paste answer. If you're trying to figure out co-parenting and keep the peace (or at least have proof when things go sideways) this is definitely worth trying.
Awful and breach of Australian Privacy Laws
JaneIsRight
I needed access to my own data for family court, but the app developers wouldn’t allow a download of all data and records, saying the app “wasn’t designed for that.” Couldn’t download any attachments and nothing from the File Vault. This is a serious issue under Australian privacy law, which gives users the right to access their personal information. If you’re relying on this app for anything important, be warned - you will not be able to get your full records
Developer Response
We are so sorry you could not export document in the file vault. It is designed as a safe space to store copies of birth certificate and sporting fixtures etc. All data containing your personal messaging expense tracker, calendar and GPS tracking can be exported with the click of a button. If you need any assistance from us with this please email us at support@thecoparentinginstitute.com.au
App is glitchy
boo_auz
The app is glitchy and needs a update badly. Calendar entries won’t let you add in a location. Dates entered land up under the wrong colour. Takes forever to load and then crashes. Waste of money
Developer Response
Hello,Thank you for your feedback. The app was glitchy when we first started it. It was a steep learning curve but I have great news. It is all working very well now and we have a lot of users that use the app without any issues. So please give us another chance and join again. If there are any issues ask us for help through the app or email us on admin@thecoparentinginstitute.com.au
