Olwen Higgins ,

Really easy to use app with a couple of bugs

I have found the app really easy to use and navigate and there is a lot helpful dieting tips and Information to help you make smart choices with your food. Currently, my only issue with the app is I cannot hear any audio with any of the informational videos at the moment. So I can only read the articles that are available (not all ‘master classes’ are accompanied by a transcript.

Developer Response ,

Hi Olwen, thanks so much for reporting this issue. If you 'unmute' your device it should resolve the problem. We have developed a solution which will allow video to play with volume regardless of whether your device is muted or not, which we hope Apple will approve in the next day or so. If you continue to experience volume issues please contact us at Support@DefeatDiabetes.com.au so we can help resolve. Many thanks for your patience with our brand new app, The Defeat Diabetes Team

Brilliant program

Love the food and the recipes are delicious. The lessons modules provide life changing knowledge. It is wonderful being off Metformin and blood sugars now staying stable. HbA1c 5.7 After an initial big drop I stalled for three weeks hitting a plateau. There was no chance I was quitting the health benefits alone are worth it, so nice to finally be free of joint pain, to have a clear head and not be hungry all the time. Having the support and knowledge to take control of my own health has helped me get better health care which has resulted in a kick start to my weigh loss again. 8 weeks in with a 3 week stall and 7kgs down can’t argue with that.

Defeat Diabetes

Thé Defeat Diabetes app is fit for purpose, it does what it is designed to do.
When using the app you are sharing with and learning from others who have had similar experiences
The app is also more or less interactive insomuch as you can ask a question and have it answered by an expert.
You also feel that someone is working away in the background to make things better for you ie new recipes, tips on new products etc
What’s not to like
